Also, EiP will come in June, which will remove ALL miners from the network. The fees will go to the stakers in ETH 2.0 instead. They will be distributed among them.
So, if you cant afford 32 ETH right now (minimum required for ETH 2.0), you better drop it. Its a elitist corporative coin, made for the usual anglokike /pol/tard.

Do you already have the rigs? If so, yes you should be mining ETH right now because it's never been better. You should save all your ETH and immediately stake it.

If you don't have the rigs yet, you're better off just buying and holding. EIP-1559 will reduce miner fees. The base fee will be burned and since gas fees will now be standardized, people won't overpay like they are now.

Fellow miner bro. I'll help you out.
Save the ETH, continue mining until ETH 2.0 (realistically before its out). Since we're going to PoS system, PoW won't be possible. Take a small chunk for profit just in case if tax man comes knocking, and stake the rest. You won't make as much (theoretically) but it's better than nothing.
Alternatively, if you don't want to trade, use those gains once ETH staking dies down (or now) to:
- buy a darknode (REN) (100K REN)
- buy and delegate GRT around the time of ETH 2.0, they'll be relevant more than ever then
- if you need to tether, follow RAI (https://reflexer.finance/)), it will likely be the new go-to and you can see a bunch of whales have already pooled there (https://reflexer.finance/))
- buy 50K Everest (ID) if you can, sooner rather than later. 365 days is guaranteed 40% APY (https://everest.org/))
I would also suggest taking a look at XOR (will be used for Polkadot).
Cheers.

L2 is required before it can do any exciting price discovery. This is because the gas fees are too prohibitive to flood the space with money printer go brrr (((yield farming))) to swap around and pump ETH with. It'll collapse on itself if it happens too early and so it self-corrects.

Now if L2 comes out just before the ADA ICOs and DOT parachain auctions, then sure. If it lags those by too much, it'll hit on the summer lull and ADA and DOT whales will take profit first. Also add in BNB since they managed to milk Reddit via DOGE for enough liquidity to make themselves relevant.

ETH is the only coin that will come crashing back to earth when other chains like ATOM DOT AVAX ADA XTZ etc take off. Not every smart contract chain will be a winner but for the ones that are they will rise, ETH will fall till they meet in value and then all will continue to rise, assuming gas fees get fixed.
