So, new to biz, from reddit and I heard about this place, you guys know a lot about mining. Can you mine coins using a bunch of smart phone I dont use anymore? Any help would be appreciated. I have a whole bunch of smart phones not being used at the moment and I would like to put them to good use. Thanks in advance fellow coin-bros.

Not worth it.

I've researched the possibility of a PoW algorithm that uses hardware-accelerated H.264 coding. However the problem is lossy video coding is not deterministic across implementations.

Some ARM chips might have hardware accelerated cryptographic functions that could make it viable.

Generally the only way mining on smart phones could be viable is if the PoW uses ASIC functions.

that hurt my fee fees.
So what about mining with R Pis, like a ton of them?

The RPi 3 yields about $1 / month with Monero mining
Last month someone wrote a worm that brute forced RPis via SSH using the standard user name and password, and installed a Monero miner. He probably didn't get rich but if his worm infected only 2000 RPi's, that would be $2000 / month

now thats what I call a good idea. So you could infect tens of thousands of computers and have them all dump into your wallet.. I am sure someone has done this, making a bot mining army.
