it's ETH's fault, not uniswap
uniswap is just built on top of the ETH network. ETH miners decide which transactions go through, so if you're not using enough gas you can have the transaction time out or enough trades in between so price moves a lot so that the slippage is not enough.
the high gas fees? also ETH. basically uniswap are a bunch of smart contracts on ETH and every line of code uses some gas wehn you interact with the contract (like swapping tokens). also the fact that ETH is so high priced doesn't help either
