TLDR: The network allowed an invalid transaction to be created. Someone got free avax. The foundation burned the same amount from their stash so the supply is unchanged.

No blocks will be rolled back, as this would require a fork most likely.

The high traffic triggered a bug that fucked with validation which slowed down the network which caused some transactions to "appear" to multiply when people used the Import X/P/C buttons in their wallet for when a transaction becomes held up. People had problems to transact from X chain to C chain.
Transactions not going through. From AVAX-eXchange chain to ETH Compute chain. They got told, re-import it again. They did.

Some of these transactions where validated up to 7 times or more by the network.

How many we dont know since all these AVAX chads are too illiterate to even read an explorer so we cant expect them to check their node database.

Only when the indexing explorer service orelius crashed, did anyone notice. The ava labs explorer operators.
They then shut down majority of the staking nodes causing the network to stall.
