Servers can be run by anyone, it's basically a docker container and you can run it on your residental PC or somewhere in the cloud.

You can also set the price yourself and via Cosmos IBC you can be paid in any cryptocurrency, not just sent. 20% of all payments sent to you - in any cryptocurrency - will be redistributed to stakers accoring to their stake, to give the token value.

The software is open source and from sentinel, there is no logging in the software. So if you run the vpn server software on your server, you will not be able to know what your server is used for.

main net is not online yet, so there is no real pricing, but you can be sure that it will be cheaper then any other alternative cause it allows for global competition.

one of the sentinel main product is the v3 client, which will allow white labeling of the dvpn, any corporate entity will be able to launch their own private network of nodes for their own employees, thus securing communications (which is becoming more and more the default policy)

SENT is a staking token, when main net will launch q4 this year , you will be able to stake your coins and earn yearly yield of 15-25% in exchange for securing the chain, yield will vary depending on which validator you choose to delegate your tokens, some will have higher fees for higher security some the opposite.

SENT is also a payment token for the dVPN and a governance token for upgrades and management of the community pool (which one day might be worth millions like dcr or cosmos pool).

SENT dVPN nodes will also be able to stake SENT on their node as a trust bond to ensure quality of service to customers (and for subscriptions).

SENT staked will also earn you part of the revenue from the dvpn nodes (they will have a service , maintenance and network tax imposed on them it will be minimal and they will still be much cheaper then centralized competitors)

there will be various other secondary usecases and products launched on sent own chain that will produce continuous revenue, for example an internal dex to allow anybody to pay for the dVPN in any token.

probably you will also be able to pay data centers to host a node for you and get the profit generated in return, this way any sent holder will be able to become a vpn provider

sentinel is a layer 2 solution for tor like the lightning network is a layer 2 solution for bitcoin

TOR by itself is not enough, by allowing any consumer to monetize its own bandwidth sentinel will reach a higher node count then tor by 2022, also sentinel relay net allows to decide the amounts of hops your node goes through thus ensuring probabilistic privacy.

monetization can make it faster cause if you pay more you will have higher priority and access to nodes with higher bandwidth and lower latency, premium service > free service in terms of quality , also sentinel allows to host free nodes too, so you have the best of both worlds.

tor node hosts can host a sentinel node at the same time and get payed for their service
