I can see utility in parts of Europe. Scandies are surprisingly receptive to governmental data linkage.

But other places in Europe will resist this, and I don't see the utility in a Syrian refugee being associated with an electronic pin. Not least because people from failed states resist this sort of thing even more than westerners. See: covid in western countries with lots of immigrants.

If not for everest, someone else would do it anyway, how else do you expect crypto to become mainstream?
