The pattern I trade on is a stock shoots up (scalp if possible), washes out, shoots up a second time (potential profit if youre confident), then it washes again on a higher low. If the stock starts rising through that lower high and never dips below the prior low, as it breaches the lower high more often than not it will break out, potentially to high of day or a half/whole dollar break. I am currently holding though, and this downward movement is depressing. With that said though, I have a huge respect for the CEO since he doesn't want to shove advertisement hard like facebook.

I like the underdogs in the current market. I can't stand Facebook or Zuckerberg. Snapchat seems to fundamentally get the market more currently, whereas Facebook is making money off pushing shitty ads to an aging userbase. Planning to pick up SNAP when it bottoms out.

Same deal with AMD. Fuck Intel, AMD seems poised to pick up some ground. I'm not investing a gigantic amount, so willing to take some risky positions, but these seem like reasonable opportunities.

Pivot points? Is that what those dots are I see on the tradingview chart? I notice now that Im seeing them on the one minute, not really on the 5 minute? Should I be trading my strategy on the 5 minute chart, do you think? Or just kind of keep the 5minute as a reference and data point

On tradingview, on your interactive chart:
- Click on the drop down arrow next to indicators and select 'Swing Trading'

- Remove the 'Pivots HL' and 'Zig Zag' indicators that come up, all you want is the 'Pivots' indicator.

- Go to settings on the Pivot indicator and uncheck everything below S2/R2.

Look at 5 mins charts now. S stands for support, R stands for resistance, and P is the middle line which tells you whether something has upside or downside bias (if it's above or below).

It can help with identifying where the market might find support, and where there could be resistance. Entry and exit points that can aid with your style of trading.
