Can we have a thread about AVAX staking? How does it work? Are there staking fees to get started? What's the expected return? Is it guaranteed?

It’s pretty easy on all nodes.com.
Also you can farm on zero.exchange if that’s your thing.

When you do it correctly you can have a 9% Apy.

There are no staking fees.
You need at least 2000 AVAX to stake.
Delegation fee is a minimum of 2%
The return is about 10% APY right now.
Minimum staking/delegating is 2 weeks, max is 1 year.
The return is guaranteed as long as you have an uptime of 60%. There is no slashing.

You can run a node on a cloud vps with 2GHz, 4GB RAM en minimum 10 GB space. Should cost you $20 a month at most and it's a big dick move running your own node and contributing to the network.
Installing your node is peanuts, you just run the installer and you're basically done: https://docs.avax.network/build/tutorials/nodes-and-staking/set-up-node-with-installer

Minimum delegation is 25 AVAX so almost everyone can do it. If any anons wanna delegate to my node they're welcome to do so: NodeID-3fAkSfE44MtzCAj5vo4TdfWob3SX5ZFPt

No that's stupidly expensive for what it is. There are free bash scripts that do all of the setup for you and even the updates (which are very easy to do anyway)

Binance just now released a staking program for AVAX.
