The whole gme debacle has brought to my attention a new understanding, and I would like to articulate this newly founded lesson in this post. Now the main difference between 4chan and reddit is the account and upvote systems. You see those are your basic dopamine recoptor trainers, all popular applications have them. Now it's all fun and games to have a big chunk of your decision making influenced by whatever your input is, everyone makes decisions based on their life experience and the various stimuli present in the surrounding systems inhabited by each individual be they virtual or not. But there also lies an individual voice, a (you) so to speak, so precious that trillions of dollars and human labor is spent in trying to influence and shift (you) into whatever is required of you.

Watching so many posts about people being deluded into holding gme from redditors has made me realise how important this place is. Whatever your opinion of this site is, the truth is simple; this place is where opinions, experiences and knowledge spanning a very broad spectrum of various criteria clashes into each other in a gladiator pit. Each contender stronger than the next. Bloody battles of wit, autism, sarcasm trolling, intelligence, all unfolding infront of your eyes via a simple minimalistic imageboard. The only criteria you use to judge a post are the words you read, which are the output of a real human being with an experience in life as unique as a wallet address.

What you are witnessing and experiencing for free every day will be viewed by future historians as something akin to ancient greece, appreciate this moment. As one anon once said "The world is going to seem so boring when this is all gone."
