I made it anon. Thank god for this board’s weaponized autism

How much did you start with, looking at this makes me want to kill myself, please tell me you put in 1.5 million

My total cash investment into various crypto has been around 71k. I’ve been on biz since 2017. And purchased my first crypto in 2013 a few months before Mt. Gox hack.

I panic sold my BTC in 2016 just before the bull run and I panic sold half my LINK last year because of COVID-19. Find an asset that isn’t just bullshit and hype and just hold. Be patient.

Had 5 ETH in 2018 panic sold because I had no idea what I was doing and green line go red, i've been kicking myself ever since.

Also, I have other boomer investments because I’m not completely autistic

Not everyone can afford a 71k YOLO into magic internet money, but I’ve had a nice cushy tech job for over 10 years.

>> No.27802182

>>27801171
Not sure yet. Probably generate some interest on it using DeFi loans or maybe run a LINK node. I’m still waiting for it to go a bit higher before I sell.

I thought about putting some into more boomer index funds but it’s consistently out performing them.

Im still wage slaving at my job for now though...

>>27801623
Maybe you won’t, but also maybe you will. Hard work and mental fortitude is necessary and gives you a better chance of success, but don’t let anyone pretend that luck didn’t play the most critical role.

Glad you made it, anon. Hope you quit and enjoy life soon.
Also, just curious, how bad were the drawdowns at times?

>> No.27803142

>>27802404
The crashes didn’t bother me as much because crypto wasn’t my only investment. During the downswings I would just think, “huh, guess that didn’t go as planned. Oh well, more wage slaving and boomer stocks it is!”

When LINK dipped into 0.17 I threw another 8k because I really believed in the project. Looking back its easy to say that makes sense, but the bubble had just popped so only an absolute madlad would do something so autistic and buy more magic internet money. If you do something like that... make sure you have the attitude I mentioned above.

>> No.27804572

>>27803335
Most of it is noise, but if you lurk long enough you’ll start to get a sense for anons that are just paid shills and the anons that are know what they are talking about.

Treat biz as a way to hear gossip and rumors and then from there DYOR.

So ya... There’s probably a DeFi coin with huge potential on this board being discussed. I have no idea what it is, but if you see something that has potential make sure you DYOR and see what the project has to offer.

Don’t be too hasty though. >>27803674
You only have so much money and only so much time—shoot carefully

I got lucky with LINK because it had the advantage of being shilled non-stop for over a year, so there was plenty of time to DYOR. Lotta FUD too though (shadowlink, Big Macs, Philosophy degree, PhD in crypto economics copypasta, etc...)

I wasn’t here for the ETH days but I hear it had a similar treatment.

>>27803674
See above.

But also, invest slowly and think long term (at least 5 years and even 20 years). I didn’t get there immediately and you won’t either. However you will get there if you continue to DCA and invest 10-20% of your income as you wage slave without any major debts.

Don’t get married

so true. I know someone that got in bitcoin very early. made a lot of money and thought he was a genius. after that he started businesses and lost it all because he was dumb and did not recognise it was mostly luck that made him his millions. have to keep 2 feet on the ground when you make it.

That's the plan. I'm a Dutchie, so no debt luckily, and will start a lucrative quick-promoting job soon, so I made an account yesterday. Unfortunately I missed the GameStop event. I just want financial stability and independance.
