Are there any autists here who hold down minimum wage jobs? Please share your experiences. I have to find a job and break the NEET cycle and I've never had one before. I have no skills or qualifications, so I'm looking at fast food or cleaning.

why not go into education?

Wow, that fucking pic, ey. My life in a god damn nutshell, except I usually spend 5PM until about 11PM at work.

To answer your question OP - retail. Don't go into that. Fast food, don't get into that either. Try and skill yourself up in a programming language or something. Retail and fast food are awful.

>> No.277910

OP I make $10/hr 40 hours a week, and only make $300 after taxes.

You really want to try and shoot for more than minimum wage.

Nope

Not OP, but you can't really invest very reliably with only $1-2k, can you? There are those that can turn that into $100k, but they've been in the game for a long time, it seems.

Implying any good job would consider a NEET loser like OP. Even niggers who've only worked at Walmart are ahead of OP.

OP, unlike what these idiots tell you, most people have to start at the bottom and work their way up. Take any job you can get (retail, fast food, etc.), work as many hours they'll give you, and save as much as you can. Do this for 1-2 years, then take your saved money and go to school/get certs/invest. Also after 1-2 years of work experience, you should be able to start applying for better jobs.

Good luck, you're in for a lot of bull shit. It doesn't get any worse than retail/fast food/hospitality, but most of us have to go through it at one point or another.

I work a minimum wage desk job at a really small business, I basically just excel and spreadsheet shit that they buy. Its fucking awesome, I don't have to talk to customers, coworkers or even bosses on a lot of days.

You don't need skills or qualifications, you just need a connection (see:friend) and to be very determined and a quick learner.

This shit would make me laugh out loud if it wasn't so FUCKED UP that you fucking LOSERS are constantly vomiting it on eachother.

What you just advised someone else to do is grind their fucking life away for the chance to work a job.

The CHANGE to work a JOB which is STILL going to be shit in comparison to making it yourself.

Please, let's just split the /biz/ forum right now and get it done with.

All the faggot cock-sucking wage slaves can have their own board, and all the entrepreneurs and people actually interested in MAKING IT and being WEALTHY should have our own separate board.

Teach yourself to code and make games, it's what I did and I survive off of it now. Make stupid android game and shit, and have one big/real project you work on while churning out littler ones. If you get lucky with a steam sale you can make some real money.

Master Limited Partnerships have awesome 10% yields but holy fuck can you lose money due to bad management.

I like $MEMP, nice exposure to the petroleum market, good yield, good management.

Never get a labor job. Employers will forever assume you have no people skills because so. Get a job in retail or fast food. It took me 6 years to break out of the manual labor spell.

>> No.279339

If you are still mooching off your parents. Than do this.

Get a job, any job. If you are an introvert preferable one that doesnt involve interacting with people.

Ideally you should work your way into running the cash register

Continue mooching off your parents so you spend as little of your own money as possible.

Learn the basics of investing. Get a Retirement account. Dont try to buy low/sell high. Just find stable bonds and ETF's sit on them and collect divends.

Live frugal. Get as much of your food from your parents as you can. Get your clothes and common goods from places like good will. For entertainment get a cheap computer and an interent connection: learn to pirate everything.

Invest all your excess cash.

>Try and skill yourself up in a programming language or something.

That's like everyone go to answer. There is only so many programming jobs.

OP work as a laborer you will get payed more than working retail.

In Austraila you would get 23-25 an hour and the only thing you really need is whats called a white card which just indicates you done some safety shit. Then if you get a forklift licence +1 to you.

If you have the capital you could start a lawn mowing business, pool cleaning or window cleaning would require less capital.

I work at a small discount grocery store. There are only 8 employees and usually only 2 at once so I don't have to deal with a lot of people's shit. I cashier, unload stock, fill milk/produce/meat, clean, and wrangle carts. I find this to be a lot more enjoyable than a large store where you are generally stuck in one of those roles at all times, which quickly leads to burnout. The job has helped me out a lot, actually. I used to refuse to leave my home, and now I can actually talk to people I don't know without them thinking I'm insane.

Get up, go to work, come home, play videogames, bed. Repeat five days a week, and play videogames on weekends. See friends occasionally. Splash out on new toys every few months.

Basically the same as unemployment, only more money and more stress.
