They've got a new lease on life now that the hype has paid off all of their debts. Theaters where I am had a huge downturn so they closed for a few months and completely redesigned. They ripped out all the shitty theater seating and replaced it with about half as many giant leather power recliners, and lowered ticket prices to around $12. Now people are actually going to the movies. The theater model needs to be tweaked but it's not dead. People still like movies, and with COVID they are more eager than ever to get out of the house. I think AMC could absolutely be a solid long term hold. Plus it pays dividends.
