It can't keep this up for a year. The real spot price, as demonstrated by the cost to purchase an ounce, is somehwere around $35 while the official spot price based on paper is $25ish. As long as their is still excessive demand for silver the cost to purchase will rise further and further and there is no inventory.
Bullion dealers and manufactures will just purchase contracts on COMEX for $25 and sell it in person for $35. Comex won't be able to deliver on all these contracts and faith in the exchange will fall pushing more and more to put their money into Silver and eventually collapsing Comex.
