I had this horrible dream just now

what IS possible is that hedgies took out MORE shorts and are using those to buyback shares at market price but again the "voLuMe" doesnt show this so the only conclusion is that the price decline is due to retail investors getting scared and selling.

while creating more shorts is a calculated risky play, the hedgies are in no real danger since they can cover their shorts for an infinite amount of time with paper stock (calls, etc)
