If it is uptrending only draw lines on the bottom and vice versa for down. it makes no sense to be drawing lines on the tops of an uptrend all that matters is if you are in a trend it doesn't break the bottom trend line. All you are doing is drawing lines to guess where the millions of other traders have drawn lines and are being influenced and then gamble on the outcome based basically entirely on a feeling. Or an "edge" you develop but really all your doing is looking for a statistical advantage predicting when big money is going to break a trend line and go to bust stops etc.

I feel feel like generally you need to understand the patterns of the specific market or coin first, before trying to draw big brain lines. Like look what the graph looked like the same time last year. The only pattern the markets generalize with all of them is the base human psychology.

I took a course on technical analysis back in 2012 but I forgot nearly every single goddamn thing. All I really remember is like 90% of this shit is just self fulfilling prophecies and the only reason you learn them is so you can follow the crowd.
