Why have I never seen any threads about mining crypto? Why do none of you faggots invest 10k in mining the stuff?
Seems like a better investment than YOLO'ing on a shitcoin... at least then you can change coins if it turns out to be a failure.

Because you'll never recover your initial investment. Mining is only profitable for new coins... and almost no coins are proof of work anymore. My entire six figure portfolio is from mining gains... except I was mining in 2013... If I were to fire up a miner now it would be a waste of my fucking time

Unless you get "free" electricity (as in zero marginal cost, like in a dorm) AND electric heat is your only heat source, AND you live in a cold climate, AND are willing to buy/resell used gpu's (if you can even get them), AND actively trade among a basket of mined coins to maximize fiat denominated gains, AND run it as a business so you can take deductions on equipment;

You will still be underwater compared to just buying bitcoin dollar cost averaging with the money you would have to spend on hardware.
