People here will tell you to hold because it theoretically could go up forever since the hedge funds need to buy back every stock they borrowed. Imo it's unlikely to go extremely high as people start seeing numbers they like and get papers hands. Then there's a domino effect where the price falls and the hedge funds buy everything back at a low price

If you need the money in your account for whatever reason, you probably sell ASAP. You shouldn't be reading with money you can't stand to lose and that makes you sweat everytime it goes down. But if you're okay with waiting to see how high GME will go (at the risk of all that money turning to $0), then you should hold.

CNBC shills just made a REALLY FUCKING GOOD POINT despite it probably not being the point they intend to make.
It is true that there are large institutional investors holding GME like Vanguard who have lent their shares out to hedgies like Melvin to make money from the shorting. It is true they could demand their shares back and try to sell...
HOWEVER, they're RETIREMENT FUNDS. Letting the shorts never close might actually work in their benefit. They can exponentially grow their retirement funds from the interest payments due to Melvin and friends shorting 250% of the float. They are guaranteed those payments as a lender.

That means they could hold their shares, AND THEN:
* let ALL retail investors sell first and literally name their price to the shorties
* wait for Melvin to short attack again and buy the dip, taking control of 100% of the float
*CHARGE THE SHORTIES INFINITE INTEREST FOREVER, BECAUSE THEY CAN ONLY SELL BACK TO THE INSTITUTIONS THEY ALREEADY BORROWED FROM, THEREBY FUNDING EVERYONES RETIREMENT ACCOUNT AND MAKING THEIR CEOS TRILLIONS INTO THE FUTURE AS THE SHORTIES BECOME A PERMANENT MONEY MACHINE

I do not think there is any serious chance of this happening, but the fact that it is an real option this timeline could take is insane to think about. Hedgies could become permanent money printers for everyone's retirement accounts AND all the retailers win if the institutions decide its time to get based for once.

This is not investment advice.

Whats actually quite funny anon, is I worked with the JSF xD more I cannot say.

Loyal wingmans biggest weakness is EWAR interference. Especially if the tactical datalink gets hijacked or spoofed. Worst thing that could happen is if loyal wingman all of a sudden become ''disloyal' or cannot execute tactical input. There is still a lot to figure out there. Yes youre correct. But my biggest fear is that turning on the pilot. Due to the nature of Link16. Which the LW will most likely be using or a more secret squirrel equivalent tethered to a JREAP or JREAPC. My biggest fear is that turning on the pilot or operator. Which will likely be on both F35 or KC135R. They have to maintain a nearby loiter area.

HVAA loss is the most devastating especially if its a major strategic asset with many souls on board. It would be terrible to see good people go to waste over a foreseeable troubleshooting error.

Exactly why I use /biz/ and always will. I’m looking to align to the or invest in companies and not be on some campaign against it. I can agree that GME was way undervalued, shorted to the extreme and a great opportunity to invest in with the new gen and console cycle upon us. Them pushing to this extreme and not caring what fundamentals or chart analysis says and if they lose their money or not, just to see the big guys fall, I don’t agree on but it’s the big guys own fault for not covering the shares they borrowed when they still could and shorting the stock even further, burrowing every share that was available and using their power to burrow shares that wasn’t.

Frens, consider going long DGLY next week

DGLY spikes on civil unrest, which correlates somewhat to the VIX. Imagine the fallout from a hypothetical GME dump, or similar. DGLY regularly hits gains on peaceful protests:

>May 29
George Floyd +236%
>1st week of June
Peaceful protests +415%
>July 16
LA and portland peaceful protests + 82%
>August 27
Kenosha happenings +30%
>September 23
Breonna Taylor +64%
>November 3
Election +47%
>January 6
Capitol happenings +53%

Otherwise its in an uptrend with support around $2.50 and PLENTY of incooming happenings to take profits on. Options are liquid enough and cheap. IV always spikes past 500% upon any realized happenings. Options always 10x. If you own the shares you can CC off the high premium and close the next day for next to nothing.
DGLY is basically a $2.50 VIX proxy.

The stock is worth that much because of the price someone could buy the company for. Your ownership has nothing to do with it.

The stock price may go up if big investors are willing to pay more for a majority or a seat on the board. You would benefit if this happens. This generally happens when a company becomes more profitable.

You? No. But the people currently in control of the company want the price to go up to price-out people who would like to take over. The amount they want to stock to be at at minimum is a function of how much they value their current stake in the company. If someone else values the stake higher, they'll take it and nobody cares, the one who just lost a stake having effectively been paid what he believed was the worth of the stake.
Worth of the stake is itself a function of future company success, hence everyone on that side is in principle interested in the company succeeding. People on the other side, or people who want a stake but think it's too high, want instead to bring down the business to get in on the cheap or to destroy it for fun.
As for you, you're just there to enjoy the gains associated with the actions of the big guys.

Then you can get to the real deal which is that the SEC gives the DTC (a private company) full authority to restrict trading activity on any securities that they own (which they own EVERYTHING).

So you guys know what a crazy concept to me is... The concept of debt. I've never been able to go to collage or get hospitalization, or buy a house, or a wife, or a kid or any of the normal things you do in life. You know why? Because if I wanted to do them RIGHT NOW I would have to go in debt. I don't want to be in debt, so instead of doing things immediately I started saving my money. I got good at the stock markets and I bought some stock.

Others like me did the same, we all bought a lot of stock, now we're going to have a lot of money to do all those things in life...

But something occured to me... Nobody has that amount of money to pay for my stock so I guess... that's why they made debt. I guess the hedge fund guys have a negative account balance now, since they don't actually have the money to pay us, they're in debt to us.
