It's a bubble. 100%.
There's a thread up right now where all these people who just opened their accounts yesterday to fomo gme are asking how they can day trade for a living.
Big fucking bubble, whole market. Robinhood, cash app, commission wars, fractional share availability, covid volatility were the catalysts.
Here's another signal: no one believes this is even possible.

>> No.26786446

not to mention that the terms 'moon' and anything else will now forever be a thing reddit made. despite that not being the case at all. If you use these terms normies will go WOWWW DUDE U GO ON R/WALLSTREETBETS TOO?!?!?!

it's just a standard sign of bubbles about to pop.

it happened like this often often over the past 300 years, always when retards begin to think of stocks as easy money - you normally sell at this point

>> No.26786869

The problem is that when a bunch of inexperienced people enter a market they tend to create bubbles. Case in point, like five different stocks today. This has been studied and replicated in laboratory settings.

We don't know how crypto performs in actual meltdowns because it has yet to exist during one. Last time was 2008.
From what I can tell bitcoin is somewhat correlated with equities, and most cryptos are correlated with bitcoin. We see similarities in their movements during periods of high volatility. But the effect sizes are different, in terms of risk adjusted return, crypto (btc at least) has not been bad over the past ten years. Especially if most of your portfolio is just cash.
Orange line is SP500.
Personally I am going to hold on to my cryptos because I have a long fundamental thesis. But I exited stocks three weeks ago.

>> No.26788923

Also, thoughts about the correlation, similar crowd of people who have pushing stocks ever higher are pushing crypto higher. And it is just as easy and available to inexperienced investors as stocks are via robinhood, cashapp, coinbase, gemini. The only thing it really has going for it is that it's more expensive to trade and move than stocks.
