The pressure is that it is a company on the verge of bankruptcy and this is about the limit of what randos can accomplish alone. GME has millionaire whales backing it.
All you have to do is look at Blackberry, an equally meme stock. Been stuck around the $20 mark throughout all this. It had one bug push up and then has remained stagnant.
The factors behind AMC are different than GME. Its that simple.
AMC was a good value at $4-$5 but after that its diminishing returns.
Remember that Gamestop had guys going in $50,000 before it took off because they predicted this outcome.
Nobody has done that for AMC because it doesn't have the same potential. Its just a good value for smaller guys like us to get a sizeable number of shares that will go up for cheap with little risk.

Those whales can do this safely because Gamestops brand recognition is strong, they are in a decline but not failing, and got new management. And that new management plan is to stop caring about brick and mortar and move heavy in e-commerce. Aka more profit for less cost. A winning strategy, especially if lockdowns continue.
AMC was facing bankruptcy until they got a loan and are a purely brick and mortar model that is fucked if lockdowns do continue long.
For them to move into online film they would be competing with Netflix, Amazon, And Disney. Aka suicide. Especially since their brand name isn't very strong.
