How does /biz/ file their taxes? Is it easy to report Crypto and Stocks? There's a bunch of newfags here and i'm sure a bunch of them, including myself, want to buy Crypto but are intimidated by the tax side of things.

Print out transaction and hire an accountant. Few hundred dollars in fees but my returns have doubled.

Google is your friend but you'll be sent a form from every exchange you traded on and you'll just upload that to turbotax and there you go. You may run into issues (i know some anons have issues uploading forms from certain exchanges and so on) and, if that's the case, just take it to an accountant or HR block and have some peon do your work. Its better to have someone else do your taxes so if a mistake is made, you're covered. Take solace in the fact there are millions upon millions of people with the same questions as you and most tax places are well prepared to deal with your trades. The only issue I can see are crypto to crypto trades but even then they should send you a form you just upload into turbotax.

Thanks anon. A bunch of people are just recommending hiring an accountant. Roughly how much does it cost you to pay for that service, just for reference

I've never hired an accountant but its about 250 bucks on turbotax to be able to upload special documents, like the ones exchanges will send you. You only have to pay right up until you are ready to finish filing so you'll know ahead of time if turbotax gives you issues. I imagine an accountant would be about the same. They can't charge too much because otherwise no one would use them. Theres too much competition in the tax filing space to get jewed ironically.

I need help.
I filed my taxes early to get the second stimulus check, but have no idea how long its going to take to get it. I thought I'd get it immediately through direct deposit. I need that $600 for rent money, will it be here by the end of January?

>> No.26543405

you shouldve gotten it the same way you received the first one, unless the IRS fucked up the delivery

What if I traded on uniswap? I don't suppose a decentralized exchange is going to send me a form.
