XMR is used to buy drugs. Meaning people only buy when they need drugs. They then send XMR to drug dealer who immediately trades for BTC.

The price cant rise because people only buy what they need, and the person they send it to immediately liquidates. Convince silk road to use ZEC and XMR might have a chance.

It's generally not possible for a dope man to "immediately cash out". They send drugs in the mail. Delivery takes multiple days. During this time, the payment is held in escrow by the marketplace, unable to be moved by either party until the buyer confirms that they received their purchase. There are ways to bypass the escrow system depending on the market but it's the most common way a purchase happens.
