Is it still good... ? Does anyone think it'll be listed on Coinbase this year? Is the Goguen release delayed? I didn't really see a thread, so I started one.

This is the only one that has not exploded like other alts. There's still room for growth. You can also stake it and earn even more. Personally I threw in 2.5k before the pump yesterday. So I'm happy anon

Good lord... yeah, I've only got 20k rn.

>>26378018
Yeah, my brother called me a few days back and I pushed about 5 grand in at .31 cents. I'm just trying to get an idea for how much ADA I should be buying weekly. Maybe 1k more a week? I won't make it to 100k for sure, but 50k might be realistic. You holding any rn?

I love this project and went all in last year. Honestly I'm disappointed that a project like DOT pumped so much harder even though cardano is superior.

Staking and getting great returns. Looking forward to gougen launching though. This must be the year of cardano.

Yeah, it was either Cardano or VET for me, but ADA had a lot of good names attached and the Goguen release had me excited, so I'm going to buy a little every week from now on if my wife doesn't kill me in my sleep, lol.

Yeah, it irritates me that I keep missing the boat and I haven't ever fomo'd into any project. So, I'll probably just dedicate more money a week to buying a larger portion or something. How much have you put away so far if you don't mind my asking? 500k seems unreal.

I don't know. I'm honestly really bad with diversification. Is it 50 percent of each or like 60/40? I end up asking myself the small stupid questions and it paralyzes me in a way or I spread myself thin. I'm not super smart, so one thing is just easier for me.

>>26378785
That's still quite a bit, man. My brother only had about 3k when he told me about it. I look forward to retirement, but I love working too. I just once in my life want to experience working and not really HAVING to work.

For sure. It's tough, because we both come from poor families where like "anything that seems too good to be true definitely is" is the dominant mentality. I did make about 20k when I invested our savings into ETH last year when it dropped to around 325 bucks a pop, so I have a little leverage as far as that's concerned. What is the coinbase effect now compared to what it was in 2017? Like how much of a pump is common now?

>> No.26382513

>>26382072
Well the fact that Cadarno is spinning its wheels with an esoteric developer experience while newer coins like NEAR are "just good enough" with a way better experience says to me there is a descent chance that Charles misses the boat. Too much competition with too much improvement and ADA really becomes a ghost chain.

Try not to listen to the idiots who think that somehow the Cadarno technology will save them. Reminds me of betamax

Are there any truly revolutionary dapps or defi currently though? It's still early days speculation. Competing with pic related wont be hard for Algorand and Cardano.

Cardano has a bunch of news and product launching in the next 2 months. I would get a bag of this. This is a long term hold.

>> No.26383304

>>26378288
How is Cardano superior? I've spent two weeks looking at 3rd gen chains to develop dapps on and though I was initially intrigued by cardano it seems like there's nothing actually there. You can run a node and that's the extent of it. The rest is promises and plenty of live streams and whiteboards with mouthsfull of SJW coportate newspeak bullshit.
Polkadot, OTOH, has a lot of tools already up. Ie a wallet/signer browser extension which is key for dapps. I haven't seen if any parachains are actually running smart contracts yet but it will get there.
I want to like Cardano because it seems classy and sounds good, at least on the surface. I hate Polkadot for its name but it legit has a ton of actuality recognisable and impressive developers and a substantial community of devs.

A stroll through the developer docs on Cardano's site reveals the project to be a whole lot of hoopla. I don't doubt Charles is a smart man but I see no evidence the project is anything more than a PoS blockchain. Same goes for Algorand.

>> No.26383699

>>26383003
Revolutionary dapps require a smart contract platform that is affordable to use. The EVM is brilliant but it's pointless to develop for it when every interaction costs three figures.
>>26383450
So? There's no smart contract functionality that I can see. The pahe Marlowe Playground is literally a blue splash screen with a circular link. Don't get me started in Plutas, or whatever it is. I'm not sure it's even a language specification.

>> No.26384473

>>26383003
Well competing with Ethereum is just a matter of whether or not Eth evolves fast enough. If you buy another chain like Algo or ADA you are betting that they don't.

But if I had to bet with this time limit in mind I probably would not put my money on Charles who seems to be incapable of releasing a non perfect product in a fast moving space. The lack of developer feedback means it won't be what the market wants when the market finally gets a medley of choices
