Seriously, though, it's about freedom. We're a generation locked into debt, born into a shit economic climate. I've known nothing but crises and recessions and depressions for my entire adult life. When I was in my early teens, 9/11 happened. Suddenly, we're in a climate of fear. Freedoms are restricted, surveillance normalized. When I was in my late teens, out looking for a job, 2008 happened. Housing market goes to shit, job market goes to shit and never really recovers. And now, when I'm looking to start a family and settle down, covid hits. Bankruptcies all over the fucking place. Lockdowns. Riots.

I just want out. I want to escape from this broken fucking system that forces young men and women to spend their entire lives wageslaving for absolutely no reward while we endure endless fucking degregations on the daily.
