How to YOLO efficiently (works best on FUCKING HUEG implied volatility):
In the same transaction, buy GME 60c expiring next week and sell GME 60c expiring this week (aka a calendar spread).
If GME goes up, but not enough, your short leg expires worthless and you just got next week's YOLO at a 50% discount.
Experiment with moving the long leg farther out and selling multiple weeks to reduce your cost basis many times over (aka poor man's covered call).
The risk you take is that it goes down and stays down drying up all demand for highest strikes.
This works for normal stocks too but on time frames of months or years because in normal non-clown world markets there would be not enough buyers for strikes ~50% OTM expiring this week.
High volatility means you just get to do this on a shorter time scale and get quicker gratification.
