That puts 10k holders in the top ONE PERCENT. 10k was never a suicide stack, that’s ridiculous, the top 1% of addresses is hardly a bare minimum. One of the reasons why I decided accumulating around 10k link was worth it was by comparing the top ETH wallet distribution with LINK. I noticed that the equivalent to 10k links, so the top 3000 ETH wallets, had about 3000 ETH, which is $3million at the ATH. I knew Link had ETH-like potential in terms of price and so far I seem to have been right.

I’m saying this as someone with 15k link myself, I always felt like a Linklet but now I get called a larp. Although I knew it would happen eventually, I didn’t think it would be so quick ...

Having 1-2 millions may help you in life, but due to inflation you can't live all your remaining life without worries with this amount without going to a third world country.
You also have to take into account that most people with a 3000 ETH stack didn't sell at the top and sold early or held it through the bear market.

I've been having 60K in savings just sitting in a savings account collecting dust since 2014. I never knew anything about crypto, investing etc. Just found /biz/. 1. It will be more than $1-2 million. The potential of Chainlink is unironically $1000, maybe not this cycle but next one in mid 2020s.
2. With staking, passive income from a 10k stack may be enough to live off. Not to mention Linkpool, which has about 700 holders now, and I’m willing to bet all of those are top 1% wallets.
3. ETH is clearly about to reach even higher prices, so those that held on to their 3000 ETH
4. Even if linkies cashed out a “mere” $3million, there’s always reinvesting, becoming a landlord etc etc. Not to mention Defi

If you start comparing for decades even bitcoin would be a good investment to make it.
Link can reach $1000 but it's impossible to know when it will happen.
It's also meaningless to make it when you can't cash out due to the fear of missing out.
At some point staking will be needed to allow us to make some profits of our stack without having to sell it.
