Hey guys, I want to share some of my current plays. Feel free to criticize:

Swing stocks:
WKHS and RIDE swing between 20 and 30. Buy when it starts to grow from 20, sell after two crab days at top. Easy money
CLEN: European small cap solar stuff, swings between 2 and 3 EUR every two months. Very tstable otherwise.

IPOE should be pretty huge, one of the non-PnD SPACs. Holding since $19. I may profit take after the DA and then rebuy.

SEDG: Old and established solar company with good products, recently tanked 15%, because TESLA came out with their own inverter. I think this is only a dip, and once it crabs I'm gonna buy it up next week.

I only hold IPOE currently. WKHS and RIDE are in their dumping phase.

I was thinking the EV/solar hype still has juice for like 2-3 months. Once tesla pops or starts to deflate, they will become worthless for sure. But they are still good plays until them. I'm not married to my stocks (as opposed to some idiots here)

Or if the recession does start on Tuesday (which I highly doubt), I won't buy any hype companies and rotate into the most disgusting divvie boomer stocks (think oil and tobacco, maybe even GEO)

I only sell IPOE after merger tho, if the valuation is $50bn+. I really believe in that company.

Oh, one more thing: CDPR is coming out with a bugfix update in 1-2 months, and it's gonna pop off for sure. Also it's an euro stock, so it won't devalue with the dollaridoo.

ACEV - target Achronix - semiconductor manufacturer

CFAC - target Aeye - AI and Lidar

If theres lock up period there will still be selloff just before the merger but it will be more stable.

A market cap above 50bn is only hype, and I will be profit-taking in that case, because it will decay in like a year. That's already way overvalued, since they project 1.5bn earnings (extremely optimistic) in 2025.

>It’s a TREMENDOUS show of confidence from ARK to buy a SPAC pre-merger by the way. In 73 days, approximately, ARK is launching ARKX their Space ETF. Part of what they’re looking to invest in for this new ETF are Air Taxis by the way. ARK will likely buy even more shares to include it into ARKX. Keep in mind they ALREADY own EXPC in ARKQ.

Nice strategy anon I would also look into space stocks before ARKX launches as I expect all the stocks they hold will start pumping. You got the meme space stocks but no one is talking about 3D printing companies and Cathie Wood has already said ARKX will include 3D printing companies. Best place to research these stocks is ARKQ as that will have the biggest overlap to ARKX.

>> No.26103511

>>26103420
I'd think the ARKX news was immediately priced in, that wa the peak we saw last week.

I've actually worked in a 3d printer manufacturing company ~5 years ago, and am very skeptical about any meme 3d stocks. The technology is pretty mature, and the barriers of entry is so low that even if a company creates a nice 3d printer, competition can follow MONTHS after them. It cannot be "disrupted" even. And of course, most 3d printing companies dwindle and go bankrupt after the initial hype.
Tl;DR: 3d printing is good PnD, but can leave you bagholding until bankruptcy.

I am but a noob, but why not just lock it in? I locked in 30% in SPCE on Friday, in the first 30 mins i sold and then expected drop as it usually does. Then I rebought. It bounced back so I sold again for additional 2% and waited again, was pretty lucky to catch the bottom. I used same amount though, 600%. In this hindsight, next time I will keep 100/150 profit and add 50 to the position.

Anyway the day ended in just -0.5% even with the onslaught. I am still learning on all fronts though so take me as a noob tard

Leaks have it that Intel has already decided to outsource all (or almost all) chip production to TSMC (in Taiwan).

However it's possible that TSMC will facilitate this by building more fabs in the states (they will need more fabs anyway to cope with the extra growth).

In any case, it won't be Intel that's manufacturing these, and hence they will lose that profit margin to TSMC.

they gave billions to TSMC instead to build a huge fab in Arizona, US is not relying on Intel for anything for national security. The rising tensions is both concerning and beneficial for Taiwan

I think they’re so far behind on the engineering it’s going to take them quite some time to catch up. Mind you everyone buying servers buys Intel chips. Regardless of what AMD puts out. Can’t speak for the big cloud providers but if you’re buying enterprise servers it’s going to have an Intel chip in it there. Hard for AMD to penetrate that.

because their contracts haven't expired yet
Their contract for Argonne is a good example i'm following
>https://insidehpc.com/2020/07/intel-delays-7nm-chip-again-what-does-it-mean-for-aurora-exascale/
so far it's just been delayed but it was getting pretty close to the point where Argonne would just outsource to AMD
Admitting that they will just outsource is going to help Intel save a lot of their contracts from switching to AMD

But we have no idea how long this outsourcing has been in the works. It takes time to design chips with a new fab. TSMC was also booked for most of 2021 already since mid-2020 so either Intel's bidding out the ass to get priority or they're still going to stagnate until 2022

Kek, 2021 is looking to be the age of 8K tv. Sony and others have unleashed the onslaught of 8K at the CES this year. Why should you care? Higher resolution means larger file sizes which begets the drive for fatter data pipes on the consumer level. Who benefits? He does. He owns the studio which makes the content. He owns the data pipes which delivers it. Can you picture a more juicy carrot to spur the adoption of 5G and upping the internet connection at home. It's not hard to get the appeal of crypto. Basically it's automated and human-free finance. That means investing, store of value, exchanges, loans, betting, money streaming, micropayments, etc. There's no corruption and no trust is required.

You really can't go wrong by investing in "blue chip" cryptos (btc, eth, ada, dot, ksm, link, etc). Not one of them has underperformed stocks and the gains are much bigger.

The biggest risk is that it's just the dotcom bubble, but that doesn't mean the legit ones won't remain standing, just like after the dotcom bubble. Trick is figuring out which ones are the best, and that's where you DYOR.

I don't know how to gauge this with crypto.

it's really not difficult to determine what it means to buy low and sell high. if you do this on good companies you'll never lose money again except maybe in once in a decade+ black swan events, but you'll make a lot of money the rest of the time and can just hodl through those without much trouble (or just like, pay attention to world events so if another black plague comes around you know you should probably get out).

I'm probably no better at financial analysis. But the company looks good, overall, to a first glance. Products, marketing etc. seem okay to me.
Only fly in the ointment is the accumulated deficit. Which does make some sense in the context of the acquisitions. Only the deficit is getting bigger yoy, not smaller. (see pic rel).
Their cash flow is negative, too. It's not too weird for a growing company, I guess. But this isn't a tech company. These guys have actual products that they are selling for profit. I just wonder when they plan to reverse course and start posting some positive eps.

>> No.26109862

>>26109640
>With stock I can research the company, buy, and walk away. When stock dips if I did my research well I don't even worry
This is how it works with crypto as well. If you're confident in your picks because you know the underlying justification for their existence and the problems they solve, there's no sweat on your balls. Just don't buy during bull runs, or if you do, only after a huge correction. BTC cycles are surprisingly predictable (eg see stock to flow chart, rhodl ratio, nvt signal).

But yeah, it's really difficult to get into. Tbh I only started seriously reading about it a few months ago and the learning curve is pretty steep. But once you get the basics it gets easier and you'll develop a grasp of the market and the ability to quickly determine if something fits there well or not.

Start with btc whitepaper and overall I suggest listening to interviews with devs and maybe reading their wikis and blogs. Don't take hopium peddlers on yt too seriously.

Make sure if you choose to stay away from crypto, it's based on something more than simply not knowing where to start.
