There are already 9978 different shitcoins. None of them is backed by anything. What will happen when there will be, let say 50k different shitcoins, how do you determine the ones being worth something and the others, since they all are intrinsically worthless? Just in function of hype (ie pajeet bots spamming social media), in function of greed (ie whales initial pumping before the rug pull?), in function of longevity (ie speccing on dinocoins already obsoletes), ... How? And most importantly, why?

Why would you buy premined lines of code with 0 use cases and extreme volatility?
It's really beyond me, this whole cryptocraze, worth 1 fucking trillion USD.., just sounds like a greed bait to divert normies' money out of commodities, chasing an unsustainable virtual ponzi so the elites can buy every tangible assets with their freshly printed dollaridoos on the cheap.

Thanks for the advice. Is 1/4 oz. a reasonable compromise between knowing I'm paying more overall in premiums versus liquidity in the future, or is it the best idea to go with 1 oz. increments?

Maybe I'm overthinking it. I don't intend on selling, and my main goal is putting together a stack for my son's inheritance. I'm also considering this Asahi bar at $61.99 per oz over spot, but maybe an ASE or a Maple is a better idea.

>what do you mean by liquidity ? do u plan to pay with it when shtf or because 1oz coins are very common, if its the first one u may want to acquire these ones

I'd only sell if gold absolutely skyrocketed because I don't believe the thesis that we're headed for total financial apocalypse, but that a repeat of something like like the late 70s or the run after 2008 is likely. I have about 10% of my assets in miners as well. Otherwise, the stack is to begin building a family inheritance, so liquidity isn't a main concern.

Even if the company starts to pay divvies later on (we never know, they may or they may not) it's still better to take at least some profits along the way up if you own a stock that booms. Always cash out some of your holdings after you meet your price target, basic stuff.

Bought an interesting "job lot" of old cutlery and flatware which included a big old Georgian English sterling stuffing spoon that is over a foot long. No weight given but they are usually ~110-130 grams so with the other sterling in the lot, after shipping and taxes the cost was around my $0.50/gram target and nicely below spot.

The monogram is a fit for my younger brother who is a skilled chef/cook so it will probably be polished and gifted. Big skullcracker spoons are based so I'm sure he'd love it.

Yes, pawn shops can get fooled like anyone else. Coin shops too, one dealer explained how when buying batches of old Silver dollars he would only weigh/check every fifth coin so fakes could slip in anywhere even if the seller is knowledgeable. Bring your magnets and a pocket scale accurate to at least 1/100th of a gram. Brass or copper core fakes won't have the same electromagnetic properties and if they weigh 31.1g they will have slightly more volume than solid Silver which is more dense.

buying in 1oz increments will be the most cost effective, but if it doesn't make sense financially fractionals can make sense. For example a .1107oz Ducat from apmex on ebay is $20 over spot, so if you bought 9 of them to get an ounce you would be paying $180 in premiums on credit, versus $140 for an 1oz Ashi on credit from Monument metals for example.

Also the magnet kinda attracts the silver? Is this too strong of a magnet?

eddy currents,..
the anon who originally said "diamagnetic" was right, its either diamagnetic or paramagnetic, it essentially its the nearby magnetic fields passing through/along the surface of the silver, that sets up "eddy currents" in the metal, thus causing a magnetic reaction between the metal and the magnet, causing a type of magnetic attraction/repulsion effect

that's roughly what the concentrates in the stream across the highway from me read.

It's not really a question of the values of the cons since cons are already mined product. It's a question of how much work went into producing them. There are places with higher known silver values right now sitting out not being mined because it would be too expensive to recover the stuff. How much did those concentrates cost to produce? silver eagles are numismatic. So are generic rounds, technically. But rounds have far fewer collectors and thus much lower numismatic value.

LCS's are businesses, and businesses charge whatever they can get. They might be cheaper than other sources or they might not. It's up to you to check prices and see. The one real advantage of the LCS is if you find a lower premium somewhere else they can probably be convinced to bargain.

Grading won't get you too much at least for the forseeable future, but honestly you're not gonna find too much of a better price for 1/4oz Eagles, so the grading is just a nice cherry on top. It's either that you you shop around to pay slightly more or less for a coin that comes in a shitty flip.

Okay PMG bros I have a question. So my current job makes me move around alot and I live in dorm style housing. I have my stack currently at a different location four states away from me. I want to continue to add to my stack before the end of all things. I have about three grand right now and want to make a purchase soon. Should I send them to the other location and have really no access to them or send them to my current location and risk them getting stolen me leaving the area for a different country for six months at a time etc... kind of feel like I am fucked either way. Any insight would be appreciated I just want to help my mom and my younger siblings.

Hecla mining have put a lot of money into the project as well, they see it probably as a future asset. These coins mostly circulated in Western States at the time and nobody had any such objections to them and they certainly didn't dissuade people from killing the Indians.

Native American history has to be one of the most tragic stains on American history there is. Dismissing it like it's no big deal is cringe.

From James B. Longacre on the $3 gold coin:
>“ Why should we in seeking a type for the illustration or symbol of a nation that need not hold itself lower than the Roman virtue or the Science of Greece prefer the barbaric period of a remote and distant people, from which to draw an emblem of nationality: to the aboriginal period of our own land: especially when the latter presents us with a characteristic distinction not less interesting, and more peculiar than that which still casts its chain over the civilized portion of the older continent? Why not be American from the spring-head within our own domain? ... From the copper shores of Lake Superior to the silver mountains of Potosi, from the Ojibwa to the Araucanian, the feathered tiara is a characteristic of the primitiveness of our hemisphere as the turban is of the Asiatic.”
This guy is literally calling the Greeks and Romans “barbaric” while praising the natives who couldn’t even invent the wheel. Truly disgusting

Lol, the natives lost and white Americans won. You’re a cultural Marxist who wants to push white guilt on everyone because their ancestors conquered the continent

Harrison Lake has placer gold in a number of small streams, google is your friend on that. The Sooke River on Van Island carries fantastic gold, so does the Naniamo river at headwaters. Lots of small creeks near Squamish have gold in different amounts too. Have a quick bit of googling, all the info is on there!

You can win and not be a piece of shit about it. You can make deals and honor them. You can recognize that the way we treated them in some cases was abhorrent. I'm sure you'd light up with glee if we were gonna talk about how awful chinks are to one another because it somehow proves that theyre lesser. You dont need guilt to be aware. Sorry I'm not jumping right on board with your autistic white power "cucked coin" post.

I buy gold and silver. I know its really not an investment but a savings account. I just got into PMs 6 months ago. I was into crypto for 5 years. Still am. Its been good to me.

I get drunk sometimes and I can remember every single fucking thing I know. Gord Downie was right.

Why did I get the urge to start buying gold in the summer. Cashed out 25% of my crypto to buy some ounces. I would be up way more if I held my crypto.

Deep down inside I have this really bad feeling that something wicked comes this way.

too much snow means you need to go back and forth making trails with a snowmobile to keep a solid track. Too little snow makes the trek into many of my spots nearly impossible because you end up having to walk not only through the snow, but though the massive amount of willows and trees which are normally buried. This year we have had little snow and lots of rain, so you have the issue above and the larger creeks are way up and raging. I ll just have to wait for spring.

Not even modern American politics, that quote was from the fucking 1850’s. It really does prove the “American culture is centered around niggers” trope true, except back then it was the wagon raiders

From what I understand from that quote, he wanted to give Libertas distinctly American characteristics. Since America didn't have much of its own to draw on, he put her in an Indian headress, from the people who preceded the US.
Besides, wouldn't the most cucked coin made for circulation be the Silver Dollars the US made for Liberia.

When you think about it like that it does seem less cucked, but calling the Greeks and Romans whom American government was built upon “barbarians” is inexcusable
