I'm not a terribly active trader after losing enough money over enough time. So I just sell 10% when its high and buy back in the dips, and send the profit coin to the HODL bag. I also dollar cost average some qage cuck money to buy more for the HODL bag every two weeks.

It works for me and is the best if both worlds IMO. Have a trading bag to gamble and learn trading, and a HODL bag to save the gains from myself

I managed to double my money trading BTC but in the end it was barely +5% more BTC because I was always cashed out during the moon missions and didn't wanna buy back in at the top, so I had a lot of missed opportunities. There's a reason why people recommend you just buy and HODL. Sometimes it just isn't worth the stress.

I thought I was hot shit when I traded my way from $230 to $30k or so between June and December (caught STA, AMPL, YELD, xETH, MRDN/LOCK and AXIA-V3 at their bottom and sold all near their tops) but then I entered a downward spiral and fucked up pretty bad by going all in GRT at.78 or so and selling at .37, tried to revenge trade on several low cap shitcoins but they either rugpulled (RFY) or tanked hard hours after I bought so I panic sold immediately thinking i could ride another wave and my mind was focused on making short term gains to get back what I lost rather than buying and holding to make a profit in the long term, despite the fluctuations. I'm actually seething because I could just have held ETH and almost doubled my money in the process. (which was what I was actually planning to do before FOMOing into GRT due to greed)
Before I realized I ended up with $115 in my metamask and less than 100€ in the bank because I figured I'd become rich soon enough and stopped caring about my fiat. As you may expect from a retard, I also dropped out of college and refused any job offer during that time because I thought I finally found my calling, that I was superior to waging normalfags when it was just a risky lucky streak. The euphoria and greed were real, I thought I was special.

I wanted to kill myself a few days ago, but I decided not to. I have to keep moving forward. Until my finances are restored. I did it once, I can do it twice. Slowly but surely

Good to see so much honesty and introspection in this thread.

I got railed in 2017/2018 trading shitcoins. Like some of you, had a couple of 10x baggers and then basically lost everything.

I saved my portfolio by going all in on BTC, ETH and LINK in early 2018 and then just sitting on it. I recently cashed out my principal plus 100% and still have a comfy 5 figures in the above tokens.

We're all gonna make it.
