25867753 No.25867753 [Reply] [Original]

Can anyone tell me definitively what the price of a cheeseburger or a big Mac in Australia was 10 to 20 years ago?

I feel like a conspiritard but seriously I want to find out how much my purchasing power has diminished in the last 10 to 20 years and cannot find any prices for cheeseburgers (or anything else for that matter) from McDonald's from any period other than current.

Even Wayback machine doesn't work with the McDonald's website. Like... Are they trying to hide the fact that the world's currency is currently being fucked up the arse by inflation?

I swear to god a cheeseburger used to be like a dollar (without promotions) and now they're like 6 but cannot find any evidence.

Double cheeseburger with 2 slices of cheese was .99c. It was the main burger on the dollar menu. Now we get McDoubles for 1.59. One less slice of cheese or 1.99 Double Cheeseburgers.

I actually prefer the McDouble for what it’s worth. Double Cheeseburger is too overwhelmed by American cheese tastes.
