To some degree yes. I now think about how the choices I make will best help my daughter's upbringing (i make money for money's sake vs i make money so my daughter will have a good childhood/life. I shuld keep fit because I don't want health problems vs I should keep fit because I need to be around for my daughter at least until she's an adult). This isn't as profound as it might sound though.
