I don't know much about Charles, but this was good. My position has pretty much always been that the federal government, politicians, and the supposed 'private' corporations that they are closely tied with are the real problem. I think at this point we can see there are two clearly defined groups of people in this country, but we are not able to reconcile our differences because the translator (fed. govt.) speaks neither of our language. Being someone who is conservative (paleocon, not neocon), I want a society where we return to more agrarian yeoman culture. I think the other side is unfortunately hellbent on controlling the rest of us, and they are willing to legitimize the government to do so. I hope we can return to a situation where the federal government and international biz/finance loses power, and we can simply worry about more pressing local issues. I hope the left starts to understand that the government isn't their friend either and we can make some real progress.
