Sup /biz/tches.

Why haven't you drop out of college to start your own company?

Elizabeth Holmes
>Dropped out of Stanford at 19.
>Start an innovative lab testing company.
>muh disruption

What have you accomplished?

Because I have an academic scholarship with 1.5 years of transferred credit, in addition to grants to cover living costs, all while trading the market with money I saved working in high school. I would not presume any of my business ideas are worth risking a free (actually net positive with my profits) ride through school. If her idea was so great, she could have waited another 3 years. She's not making the next facebook here.

She's far more successful than anyone here. Go back to /r9k/, neckbeard.

I dropped out and I'm Magikarping all over the place. Don't do it unless you have a deal waiting for you or a bankable plan.

obviously

you only hear about the successful ones, but thinking that staying in school is better than capitalizing on an up and coming business is just stupid (>>256197)

She dropped out after she secured investments. Of course there's no reason to stay in school at that point.

too bad her company isn't publicly traded, sounds like a good shorting opportunity

Nobody knows. They're extremely secretive regarding their product to protect against competition. But fuck, if a 19 year old convinced a bunch of venture capitalists to give her millions of dollars, there has to be something to it.

My speculation is to buy $THEIRANUS

I came from an analytical chemistry background. I'm still extremely skeptical of what her company is offering. It's easy to design a machine that give you a number, but does the number mean anything? I wanted to see the accuracy and precison of the test results.

Hopefully, I was wrong about my skepticism. I would love for her technology to be real.

Anyway, that lady has an awful voice, much worse than most MTFs I've heard. I feel bad for that.

However, she does have a neat idea. Too bad it'll get shot down by big pharmaceuticals because that shit will dig into profits. I wish her luck.
