Guys I'm scared of cashing out this "cycle" now that institutional investors have arrived. I fear that I will be fully cash by the time we hit my price target, waiting for the next cycle that never comes. Will institutions really allow another 80% retrace and bear market?

>>25562779
just hodl, the floor of this cycle top will be at least 3x old top, so 40-60k bottom

>> No.25562963

institutions are taking the majority of the coins into cold storage for the next 5-10 years.

That's the question. Could go either way. I tend into the direction, that massive dips are over, because not only do large institutions have big bags of cash always waiting for the dip, they also probably take out options and other contracts to hedge against a downturn. So they don't have to panic sell like retarded retail "investors".

Alternatively to cashing out, taking out a loan against your BTC is probably a better option.

this. don't let them steal your coins. you have to make them market buy.

>US institutions will stop volatility
they are in for a surprise. pride cometh before the retards can cashout. that goes for big players too. they'll get in thinking it will react like previous assets when they flood the market, but it won't.

I too have great FOMO. However I'm not cashing out. Sticking to my plan. Accumulate and hodl.

Oh I hope so. I also hope that at least one "big boy" tries to go fractional and gets completely wiped out MTGOX style. As a warning to the rest.

This time is different

No it is not. You believe the upswing will be the same as before don't you? Looking at your graphs and models and stupid lines.. but your reptile dick brain supress the downfall already. It will peak and crash. It's not the new world currency. Get your fucking bearings straight. When? Couldn't tell ya

The SEC is going to cuck Bitcoin into the ground, they have all the ammunition needed to pop the tetherscam bubble. This is the exit scam.

>> No.25563653

I have the same worry. We know the dollar is only getting devalued over time. Do we risk cashing out btc and miss buying back in on the dip, or just hodl through a potential 80% decline again

The question of how much of the market cap right now is driven by institutional vs retail. Is there any chart that breaks market cap down by $1m+ transactions

There won't be any new cycle retard , bitcoin already has lower inflation than fiat currencies , and it was going to have lower inflation even before corona.

This market cycle will extend as long as 2025 or more, it will last as long as the dxy stops going down which with biden and corona will probably be 2023 and since 2024 is an election year they will extend the brrrrrr another year.

So there will be a 5 year long bull crypto market believe it or not.
They will try to put the CBDCs after but will be a massive disaster after the inflationary previous years.

Institutional investors are not perfectly rational either, and they cause the same market cycle bubbles as anyone else. It's just that their bubbles are a lot fucking bigger.

dangerous thinking. Stock market crashes still occur to institutional investors, bitcoin cant go parabolic without a bear market following of at least equal size.

>> No.25566558

>>25566362
I'm not sure about that. Because common business cycle bubbles inflate by misallocating resources (for example building houses nobody is going to buy), and when the market participants realize, that the Fed can print money, but they can't print concrete and steel, the try to cut their losses and sell.

But a bitcoin bubble can inflate indefinitely. There are no real resources that have to be used up to hold bitcoin. Maybe too much money goes into the mining industry, as would otherwise go, if the central bank wouldn't inflate the bubble, but the mining-profitability is itself again a self-stabilizing feedback loop.

So maybe there's a chance, that at a certain point, maybe not now, maybe that's in 4 or 8 years, the bitcoin bubble will only ever inflate and all countries that don't get it, that keep pumping money into the economy, literally turn it wasted heat produced by sha256-miners.

At least then the prices for houses, stocks, etc. don't go bid up any longer. The world has a black hole for wealth that can suck up infinite value forever.
