YFL is up 40% in the last 24 hours and so much is going on with this project I don't even know where to begin.

It's an ecosystem designed by and for Linkmarines

Their main feature is an exchange which is exploding in volume and liquidity, and has unique innovative properties that other DEXs don't have, such as ruglock (a circuit breaker which protects liquidity providers in case of a sudden price dump, e.g due to a rug pull) and sliplock (dynamically adjusts exchange fees with volatility, When fees are higher it ups the fees to protect LPs/compensate them more for the higher risk of being arbed. When volatility lower it reduces fees to undercut uniwap)
Linkswap has recently been added to both 1inch and Paraswap, DEX aggregators

However they have many other features. LINKPAD is basically a hedge fund that takes fees from other parts of the ecosystem and invests them in seed stage crypto products. You know when people complain about seed buyers buying in at 1/10 of the price before anyone else can? That's basically what LINKPAD does. They've made their first investment already, Sovryn BTC:
https://blog.yflink.io/linkpad-investment-update-our-investment-in-sovryn-btc-based-defi/
Thanks to their partnership with Blockventure, they get a constant stream of seed phase projects to invest in:

Next up is LINKCHECK: This is basically a thorough audit that covers things beyond smart contract risk. Tokenomics, risks of product exploits and so on. This has just been released and they already have their first customer:
https://twitter.com/YFLinkio/status/1346524445586976769

There are a few other ongoing developments involving NFTs, and more stuff is in the works.

The beautiful thing is the tokenomics. YFL stakers get the majority of all fees in LINKSWAP, LINKPAD and LINKCHECK. In addition a portion of all fees from these three products are re-invested in LINKPAD and funnelled towards seed-phase investments.

On top of all this, they have the absolute whale, 0xb1, supporting them. For those who don't know this is a well known DeFi whale who is active in several protocols. According to Debank the address has a net worth of $300m, but its actually higher because of stuff debank doesn't count.

He has been market buying YFL and spreading awareness on twitter. He even said to cz that he would move 50-100m to BSC if they listed YFL:

Here's the thing... this is your last chance to buy. YFL has done zero marketing over the past month, and yesterday that changed, and all the progress that's been done behind the scenes is starting to get unveiled.

>> No.25562491

Lol YFL is having a nice few days but all this thing is is a uniswap fork with different colored UI and a couple of overhyped features.

Nothing proprietary, the project leaders are not devs they are just paying one or two devs to crank out shitty product. If you honestly think this can compete with uniswap or sushi then you’re delusional

>> No.25562626

>>25562491
For a shitty fork Linkswap has managed to attract plenty of liquidity in it's pools, 30% of all YFL is staked, and YFL has multiple products that could stand on their own without Linkswap. Linkswap is just one asset in the wider ecosystem.

>> No.25562683

the thing is uniswap hasn't innovated at all and is the same as it was when I started using it in 2019. and sushi is just a fork of that.

the advent of DEX aggregators means being slightly ahead of the competition makes you win a lot.

if you're a liquidity provider, ruglock and sliplock DO help you a lot

also, the exchange is perfect for other projects to use for yield farms and distributing tokens.

when you're yield farming with a uniswap LP token, there are two rug risks:

-infinite mint of token and dump on liquidity providers, or founders dumping (like COVER)
-smart contract exploit allowing project creators or other malicious actors to seize users funds (like gemswap or any of the other low quality rugs)

the first of these is solved by ruglock. the second is solved by the fact that linkswap covers the distribution side of yield farming. no need to deposit uniswap LP tokens into a smart contract you haven't audited, linkswap handles all that for you, and you know its safe.

Let me hold your hand on one little bit of alpha:

You know how like half of all DeFi apps use ChainLink oracles for price feeds etc? You know how using ChainLink oracles is paid in LINK, right?

Now imagine if those DeFi apps would prefer not to hodl massive LINK reserves just to pay for the oracle services. After all, why would they choose to hold a volatile asset? Maybe they'd prefer holding stable coin reserves for example, because they make for easier budgeting planning.

Now, if they'd rather hodl stables, but would still wish to use ChainLink oracles...

How might they convert their stables into LINK for those oracle calls?

Here's the alpha: Linkswap has The Largest LINK/stablecoin liquidity pools of any DEX. Linkswap is going to 100% dominate the a whole little market of all apps that wish to use ChainLink oracles, but don't wish to hodl LINK.

Do with this alpha what you wish. /biz/ shilled me LINK back in the day, and i'm grateful for it.

ITT: bag holders that don’t want to talk about what will happen to all the liquidity when the temporary rewards end in a month.

Total delusion. As if there is any other reason for the high liquidity other than the temporary bonus LP rewards LOL. No reason it will stick around in a month. Liquidity ain’t loyal to a second rate product.

Time for more hand holding I guess, here goes:

Who is the biggest liquidity provider for Linkswap? We all know it's 0xb1, and anyone can confirm this on etherscan. Who provides the LP staking rewards? Again, it's 0xb1.

So that means that the majority of LP is not in it for the staking rewards, but quite the opposite is the case.

And if that wasn't enough, here's a little hint about the future of the rewards:
https://twitter.com/0x_b1/status/1346307861043945472
If you don't understand what is being said, let me spell that out for you: there will be a second round of LP rewards.

Let me just add that you're not stupid. What you're saying is entirely reasonable, that would be the case for most projects.

This one happens to be an exception though, and your otherwise sound reasoning doesn't apply here. You're not stupid for saying that, only ignorant, which in this case is very understandable since this info is somewhat buried and you'd have to been following the project pretty closely to realize.

Hand holding seems to be a full time job for this thread lmao, so lets jump right into it!

Shaftoe has demonstrated high integrity and has followed on his vow to give a fair 48 warning before all his sells. So anyone who wants to avoid getting dumped on by Shaftoe will have that 48 hours to react. Shaftoe has also demonstrated willingness to not just dump, but to use his YFL to incentivize adoption of one of the assets of YFL, namely the memeteam app, but pledging 47 YFL in prizes this month alone. Also he's paying for devs from his own pocket.

Other early adopters with big bags have similarly demonstrated their intent on using their YFL bags to pay devs and dev costs out of their own pockets, rather than just dumping en masse.
