If its anything like the other bull runs, this thing will keep going for a a couple of weeks more, then there's a massive crash followed by a tanking price for something like a year. My advice is to look up how to set up a backstop so that if the price suddenlly drops 50% in a single day, you'll sell before it reaches your buy price. Then you just wait a few months before you start accumulating a little bit every month when you get your pay check, that'll probably go on for a few months before a smaller bullrun begins and you can sell your stack at a profit using the same backstop system. Then you can just wait a few weeks before accumulating again.

Or you can just buy and hold all the time and not bother checking the price more than once a month.

Respect the spike-ratios. Don't peddle me with this garbage of yours. Who am I kidding? BTC will signal to me if it will go that high.

This. Link went up, just like this, for no reason during the summer. I was constantly asking why? No one cared, and no one knew. Pure speculation.

Next was Bitcoin, huge run-up, because institutions are buying, and macro. Okay, we get it. Sustainable.

Then XRP had a run. Again, no reason, just went up on speculation.

What's happening with ETH? DeFi? Nope, that peaked. Speculation, again. Now it's ETH's turn. Enjoy the ride.

>>25490807
What the fuck are you talking about retard? Check the stock-to-flow model. BTC is going to 100k. Eth should meet it at a ratio of 0.05 at least. ETH could go to 0.1 BTC if we're really lucky. But personally I think BTC will top at 200k which puts ETH at $10k at a 0.05 ratio. BTC is signaling to everyone right now that it's being accumulated heavily and will push to extreme territories by next December

>> No.25491055

>>25490866
If you look at the ETH USD weekly chart you'll see it is repeating the parabolic BTC move past ATH. That's it, ETH is just following BTC and regaining lost ground on the ETH/BTC ratio. You call it speculation but I call it return to status quo. And yes, institutions are accumulating ETH as it's the second highest coin by market cap (and the highest by usage metrics)

No, institutions are not buying ETH. Bitcoin is exotic enough. Watch this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OiODkn1YyjY&t=1s

Also, it makes no sense for ETH to hold a relative value to Bitcoin. Logically it would be valued at the value of its own network, which is, hilariously, nothing. Well, not nothing in the strict sense, but it's based purely on speculative tools (there are no profitable companies or adoption outside of speculation on ETH).

Nothing important has happened. Borrowing and lending brought on by private entities running on a very arguably "decentralized" chain is the extent of it. Not bad, finally, but really who gives a fuck. I can make 6% interest and borrow against my Bitcoin with Blockfi. You need the entire ETH platform for borrowing and lending? Hmmm.

>>25491275
>>25491359

I concede. However it sounds like you have just a few big guys buying in. I'm not seeing any hundred million dollar press releases. Sounds like smaller bets to me. So, does holding a relative value to Bitcoin make sense? Why? Watch the video I posted.

True the bets are massive but the point is that this stuff is picking up steam. People are accumulating. Institutions are taking it more seriously. Alt coins are regarded skeptically and hardly any of them have reached their ATHs yet while BTC is doing well where its currently at. Government is cracking down on suspected bad actors and also have more experience in dealing with the situations and are also much more experieced with crypto in general. There's regulation being formulated and implimented that makes it easier for professionals to deal with crypto. Normal people are getting wise to it more and more each year as well and figure out that its a good part of a diversified portfolio for long term saving.

Everything is positive. Only thing I can imagine being more positive is if countries start announcing that they're looking to set up reverses similar to their dollar and euro reserves. If that happens the price will shoot through the roof.
