Also for those who are new to the cup (but have been on /biz/ for a while) the cup is a streamed event between boards on this shithole where we share our board culture. Each player on the field is a meme from the board and each team is a board. We are in the elite cup in winter meaning we have a chance to win it all this season.

Thanks bro, sad we didn't beat /out/ in the quarter finals last go round. This time around we've got some tricks up our sleeves and some very strong stuff we've been playing around with. May not be super flexible is its only problem but our last export was too flexible and not super strong which is why we did good in the group but not in the KOs. So if we make it past the group stage I expect us to get to the final. We may die in the group if we have too many teams that find a trick or two against our stuff. That said we're still working on it and I'd like it to be a bit more flexible so that we don't have any glaring weakness.

Good to hear. I spent quite a few hours during summer tour trying to figure out the technical side of the exports etc, but I haven't touched PES since 2010. Hoping for XRP Schizo to make it in the squad, past 6 months' quarantine would have been so boring without their daily threads. Announcers are just anons from boards, there is a cup discord (not our team but general cup discord its on the wiki here:

Ask for the commentator role and they will give you a chance to commentate. You won't be able to commentate elite matches till you have done a babby or fetus/invitational though (and you are generally liked by the cup admins as not a retard who cannot commentate/has bad chemistry with the other commentators.) Sorta something you gotta work your way into for better or worse. Try watching the newer stuff given /biz/ was nothing in babby cups at the start (where commentating is generally lower quality.)

/smg/ never has any representation lads and that's very grim.

Also on this, from my experience over the last 3 years doing this its hard to get people to get a say in generals (unless a meme comes out of it like robinhood kiddo) because /smg/ especially is very insular. The few anons who browse /smg/ have rarely had any impact on the team because of this, one anon maybe two will suggest things from /smg/ on the team but due to /smg/ staying on their general rather then interacting with the rest of the board its hard for what they like to get a spot on the team. Wish I had a way to fix this easily but its more of a structural issue with generals then it is with anything else. Still if you see roster player rec threads feel free to link it to /smg/.
