Hi frens

Basically, I’m considering getting into software development as a career. I’m not the brightest bulb, but I tend to pick up tech concepts very easily.

I have a friend that can get me interviews, if I become proficient in Python...

That being said...

I have decent social skills, but I want to maximize my income while I am young so I can accumulate stocks, crypto, and real estate...

If you want to be a code monkey, Python online will suffice, but you want to learn the how and why behind programming you should look into C or just basic knowledge of data structures and algorithms

Also, I have taken a single college class “Intro to programming.” It was extremely basic Java programming, and I was one of the better students...

That being said, our “final project” was literally building a “conversion calculator” for converting things like “inches to centimeters”

Just want to know if this move is worth it? or if I would be better coasting at my current “very easy” 50k job?

Are you a SWE? If so, when learning the concepts... is it best to study them like traditional schooling? (buying books, and taking handwritten notes?)

Also, I don’t need to “enjoy” what I do? but I just don’t want to be super depressed.... Do you atleast tolerate being a code monkey?
