yes. I just bought a condo in a downtown area (not a major city but a decently sized one). I looked at all sorts of different places: houses, townhoses, rural, urban. This was the one I liked the best. It has everything I need and the size & location fits my lifestyle. I'm within walking distance of restaurants and the like, the building has all sorts of amenities, and have a view looking out over the water. I had 6 different places in the city in my 20s. Simplified my thought process was... Why would anybody not want to live in the city? It is fucking amazing with lots of rich vibrant culture and people basically a 24 7 fuck fest with drinking drugs and parties. Art galleries shows warehouse parties everywhere all within biking distance sure it stinks and the crime is constant and your housemates screw you around but this is living I'll never tire of this... Now I live on the edge of the city in a quiet family area and holy shit it doesn't stink and the crime isn't constant and there aren't people drunk or high roaming everywhere and gangsters don't fly up and down the streets at 60mph day and night.
