No i fucking didn't. I got a BTECH in art & design at technical college and went straight to work after. I have spent most of my free time working on art. If i had gone to art school maybe i would have friends and have gotten laid.

if you can scrape a few grand together you'd do worse than get your boat tickets - start with day crew, which is about £300 and work up from there as far as your money will take you - a good boat drive, especially if your congenial and a good laugh can earn any tourist spot - obv not the ideal time for that, the the kung flu will end and the travel industry will return, when it does youll be living in the cayman islands driving a dive boat and getting pissed with rich americans every day - you wont make a fortune, but youlll have a fun life, and if you get the right billet, can make some good contacts too.

If you don't want to fuck yourself completely, keep art as a recreational stuff, bonus points if you make an extra buck out of it, but never rely on that primarily unless you're fucking Dalí incarnate.
If you have a bachelor degree in a tech school and you're not a complete tool, you might try to get familiar with CAD and 3D render in general and try to find a relevant job at a company that uses 3D in their sales process and whatnot (companies dealing with interior architecture and shit like that).
Or just ditch design and go full engi. There's always a demand for engineers.
