because it's illegal to list a security, and the court case isn't going to turn xrp into a security, it's going to confirm that it already is one. Since the sec suit coinbase can't say it was unaware that xrp could be a security.
If there's no delisting in January you're right but I expect delisting announcement in the next two weeks.

You are joking. You think coinbase or anyone else is going to sit on their thumbs waiting to get added to this nightmare? There wont be a dollar to be made keeping it listed. Thats one reason to get rid of it. And coinbase can get in trouble for selling it at this point. This lawsuit is fatal to ripple.

they have five years. and if xrp is a security the entire altmarket is dead forever.

>> No.25170944

>>25170780
the risk/reward ratio is just abysmal. Ripple and XRP are now radioactive to banks and bigger investors. Moneygram already claimed it doesn't use ODL. Even if xrp wins the suit in a year (?) it's going to be over.
The SEC suit killed xrp already, the only difference is how fast the death occurs. Coinbase and binance.us delisting - instant. No delisting - bleed over a year.

The long bleed - most devout XRP holders are now in the 1-2 stages in the kubler-ross model. Some are angry at the sec, some are inventing conspiracy theories denying reality.
When they process the events and start getting into acceptance stage they are going to start selling, but these people are the ones currently buying (in the denial stage) so buyers are going to disappear at the same time

No Coinbase is not allowed to sell securities. They applied for that license but it has bot been approved. Also EOS was not ruled a security, the ERC20 EOS was ruled a security and that is not what trades on Coinbase

> More significantly, Block. One’s statement said that its ERC-20 token is no longer in circulation “and will not require the token to be registered as a security with the SEC.”

Keep coping though. We tried to warn yoy

they have unsellable bags that would kill the market, what else could they write?
xrp price has nothing to do with paid customers, it depends on Americans speculating on it. All crypto depends on Americans, nobody else has enough wealth to move the markets at current valuations.
Ripple itself stated it's not profitable without selling xrp.

who else? Do you realize Americans own 30% of global wealth?
https://www.visualcapitalist.com/all-of-the-worlds-wealth-in-one-visualization/
now realize it's about wealth that can be spent on crypto, poorer people have more in necessities.

Now crypto itself
>Finder, an Australia-based financial services firm, has surveyed 2,068 Americans to figure out that 36.5 million people in the United States own some form of crypto to date.
>Titled “A rising number of Americans own crypto,” the survey was released on Oct. 14, as Finder tweeted.
>Average $5,447 holdings versus $360 median amount
$198B out ~$220B when the survey was made. That's 90%.
90% of all crypto is owned by Americans.
Which shouldn't be surprising given the wealth disparity and language disparity (it all started in english).

For one thing, it's not even in the top 10 XRP exchanges by volume, hell it's not even 2% of the entire transaction volume. Secondly this shit is far bigger outside of US than it is domestically and the volumes prove it.
The real key is whether if SEC and our Trump administration (which will stay in place beyond January 20th) intends to use XRP and other assets they are going after for our own purposes, since it is well known these are all just money laundering and slush fund mechanisms for malicious actors across the world.
Crypto concept cat is out of the bag, so their plans might be more complicated then you'd think.

this exactly... trying to tell these retards, no big corporations nor banks touching it for a year just removes any semblance of a floor, and once it dawns on more and more people it will be a slow bleed, mixed with both the occasional scam pump by exchanges (who are/were also big hodlers) to rekt some margin traders, and the occasional huge red candle when a bigger hodler capitulates.
You don't often get easy trades but this is it, just short with enough collateral to not get scam pumped out of your position.
I would only close a short if XRP somehow settles really early and gets off with a fine.
Not financial advice DYOR.

The jews who ran xrp got too greedy and have thier own coin stock which they kept and hyped up and sold when ripple pumps.

This means XRP will be first through the door.
