Vanguard is the largest investment fund. they manage a ridiculous amount of money. Not sure what you mean by minimum for a decent investment but if you put your money into one of the various vanguard index funds (just basically goes up with the stock market, but also down) you'll net about 2-4 percent a year. So you do the math. 4 percent is not very much with only 100k. not enough to live on at least. Personally I'd want at least 1million in index funds if I were to try and live off passive income. You could potentially make a lot more investing in individual stocks but thats a little riskier obviously. Index funds you don't have to think about at all you just park it there and get a couple percent a year, better than a savings account for sure.

I'm holding majority of my coins till 2020-2021. As long as nothing catastrophic happens by 2030 it will be a true shit show.
