Wanted to mine some BTC on my C2C i7 920 and AMD 5870 machine back in 2010, digged around a little bit and when I saw how complcated it was I said fuck it and went back to vidya. Eventually bought some in feb 2017 but lost more than half of it gambling on shitcoins since there were only btc pairs back then.

Many such cases, I bet.

I can't believe how much of a joke company Google is though. People who wasted their money on that feel like killing themselves. Although tbf Microsoft is worse. Apple is excusable to me because they have always paid a dividend.

Bitcoin is a fucking joke. Its not fair to compare it to stocks. There is probably a sub penny stock as good as BTC but I don't know what it is but its basically like that. Somebody's uncle bought Globocrap at 0.0003 and it went to 0.10 before falling 66% or something like that.
Ever since people found out about Bitcoin is has been closer to stocks, since 2017.

I'm still not crying if I got Bitcoin this year at 5K and letting it ride until 100K which is probably happening though.

I don't need to cope because I know I would've sold already owing to my bearish nature
Moreover it's a little cheeky to say if you had invested $1000 in bitcoin 10 years ago because at the time almost no one considered it "investing" or held long term if they got in in 2010
Really before 2011 it was not really investable, let alone understood to most people even in this shithole and after 2012 it got over $30 really quick which would've only netted you 33 bitcoins or $800,000 today
I consider 2013 the first year of smart money and truly investable bitcoin

But hoping to make some quick bucks swing trading some of the ALTs in this next bull run so i can dump it into BTC. I'm just wondering if I should pull my money out of TD Ameritrade and go all in on cryptos or keep some in boomer stonks, just in case.
