Is this caused by new agreement for the 900B stimulus deal?

>> No.24891762

>>24891566
will be part of it yes, in addition to other stimulus. But its not the full picture, as almost all countries are stimulating. If you look at the long term chart, DXY has been in an uptrend since 2008 vs almost all currencies, eventually all markets change macro cycles. The stimulus money printer brrr is a nice narrative, so its easy to understand by most people.

>> No.24891809

>>24891762
and also, if you look at the MACRO DXY chart, since 1970s, it has actually been in a downtrend for its entire existence, so 2008-present can be seen as a correction from the actual long term trend

Dollar falls vs currencies whose governments are stimulating less than the dollar (in relative terms) in order to free-ride on a future American economic recovery a la 2008. Rises vs governments who stimulate more than the dollar in relative terms. Small wonder the dollar is falling right now if the US announced a new round of stimulus and other governments haven't yet.

for economics:
Economics in One lesson ( Henry hazlitt)
Human Action ( ludwig von mises)
Free Market Economics ( Steven Kates) Now im going to get some flack for recommending the next two, and to be clear i personally disagree with large portions of them, and in the second one almost all of it. But i firmly believe you need to read the arguments of the other school of thought and refute them, rather than getting trapped in an echo chamber:
The General Theory of Employment, Interest, and Money (Keynes) and The Deficit Myth ( Kelton)
For investing, read the intelligent investor and security analysis ( brilliant book) for fundamental analysis.
For trading/technical analysis, read Technical Analysis of the Financial Markets ( John J Murphy) and Trading in the Zone (Mark Douglas)

These books are all about general economic theory, nothing really to do with TA. Hazlitt also has a specific writing on inflation if you want that.
