I bought it, I found a site that lets you go past the point of making a payment before telling you they need verification, that's when I posted this thread, I clicked cancel when you offered but I guess they just said fuck it and did the transaction anyway. The verification they wanted was just selfie so that I could do, it's the ID documents I don't have.

It did take me over an hour to find a site that would even let me buy without ID. Lots of sites I found on google list places like coindesk, kraken etc don't need verification to buy, but when I go to them they do. Is there a good place to buy without ID reliably? Cryptomate is the only place that works but I couldn't get ETH from there because it hooks you up with sellers and no one was accepting the sale.

Cryptomate is the single place I've found that lets you do it without ID. Minimum £50 maximum £200, but they only set you up with buyers so if no one accepts the request to buy you're fucked. Still no idea how to actually sell, not that I plan to because I'm only really looking for long term holds right now, not going to try to fuck about with short term buys for now.
