Does china deserve a world power status more than USA does?

All the USA's leadership seems to be doing is trying to kick the can as a long as can. It's more concerned about maintaining jobs than top to bottom infrastructure overhauls which would gut the requirement to have so many of the old work positions.

For instance it's largest city has one of the most disgusting subway systems on the planet considering how much money the subway had raked in over decades. The golden gate bridge is falling apart because they spent most of the maintenance money on ferrying in workers.

Instead of boomers wanting to invest in robotics over the decades the boomers demanded have 8 men live in a shipping container to run their farms.

the problem with the CLF-haters is that they don't understand that there are two factors working for it:

1. the positive business case of their acquisition of Arcelor Mittal assets in the USA

2. (most importantly) the ongoing steel shortage in the USA, whose full scale and scope is not yet fully known and not priced in

what I can tell you is that every dock and railway on either coast of the USA is backed up from here to february due to every ship in the world trying to unload its cargo at the same time now that the US is "open for business" and steel/iron scarcity is only gonna get worse.

this is one of those perfect storm situations. CLFtranny is fucking hilarious and probably gay but CLF is not a meme stock. the shit has higher to climb. reddit hasn't even found out about it yet.

Declining volatility. You want to sell off the back of a pump.

set up buy backs at %30-%70 of the premium, never wait for expiry. Your options could sit at couple bucks for weeks and at that point it’s better to roll them out.

Never sell more than a month out, theta decay is the greatest starting at ~30 DTE

Stagger your sells at different strikes, example; 3 contracts at $20, 2 contracts at $22, 1 contract at $25, etc.

Not yet, but in 2-3 decades if nothing radical happens in the US (or China caused by themselves or the US). A world power needs to have more supporting the claim than: "Hey look, we're building more modern shit now because we have money", the US domestic/foreign policy overall and military structure makes the chinese look like babies in comparison. The obvious problem is that US is divided and riddled with bureaucracy, which doesn't even exist in China.. if Xi wants a new major airport, the plans will be made the next day and construction starting next week.. if the US president wants a new major airport it will be debated for months to a year and probably delayed for another year if the budget is not agreed on.
You have to be fucking blind or braindead not to see the possibilities with China in the next few decades. Oh and let's not forget the fact that China can crush straight up revolutions by making thousands of people disappear, if that happened in the US the world would go fucking nuts but in China's case the world will just say "bad boy" and look the other way

As I understand it, the stock market from the 30s to the 70s was just seen as gambling and most people invested their cash into businesses instead.

It was when Reagan began printing infinite dollars that stocks and riding the market became profitable again and bubbles became horribly destructive like the 1920s but over and over again.

Ultimately stock growth as it currently is is an illusion driven by the collapse of business and people sinking their remaining cash into stocks. Some people win at the casino, most are going to get fucked.

Flint always had that dirty water. Hundreds of cities worse than Flint. What happened was that the governor forced the Detroit people to pay their bills.

They had brown water because they were so poor they didn't flush the system regulatory. When they switched sources it created a water hammer effect most likely that dislodged minerals that should had been flushed.

Your points about China like of democracy goes both ways in investments. Your very right, there is alot of money to be made, and I too hold exposure to that part of the world.

If a real coup was attempted, or a partial civil war or division, no matter how unlikely in your mind. The markets would tank in China, as the chineese Goverment owns all the shares on the market, they simply allow you ownership of the assets until they don't.

There are major risks to investing in China that investors should understand, including that your money is tied to the existence of a Communist regime.

It is good and bad, but nothing rivals the security of the USA, and nothing ever will due to the seperation of powers.

Yes, amongst the people that they manage to suppress.. not amongst politicians or local governments making decisions. Who do you think was disliked more by their own population in terms of percentage, Trump or Xi? Trump, because the chinese people are extremely indoctrinated. For example, a majority of riots in China for the past decade according to CIA happened because of land requisitions, not against the actual government and how they are ruled. The last few big labor protests was done by foreigners being treated like dogs.
No matter how you put it, look at Hong Kong. The vast amount of protests against China got crushed, people got sent away by train (re-education camps) and they have now passed laws pretty much making Hong Kong chinese and the population there doesn't do shit about it, they have pretty much just accepted it now. That's power
