In our Jewish clown world where the top priority is economic growth they want to keep importing more and more slaves/consumers that work and consume so they can get richer and richer, but too much slaves/consumers and you have a problem feeding them all and this is where bugs come in as a cheap alternative to feed to masses. This is why it wont really work to the degree people think, more people will just start raising their own meat. We'll just have bug alternatives for a lot cheaper (because demand will be a lot less).

Like, I live in Canada, where 99% of the country is uninhabited wilderness (probably higher actually), and I can get good grazing land here for $1400/hectare. Yearling cattle costs like $1000 each give or take, and you can 2-5x your investment just by letting them eat and grow for a couple years. I've been accumulating land for a while now, and if this actually goes down like the memes suggest, Im 100% doing this. I have tons of cattle farmer family members who could help me out, but its not really rocket science, the hardest part is just moving them from field to field when they wear it down too much to grazy effectively

Insect farming is already a profitable business, and insects were once a part of most human diets. They're healthy, high in micro-nutrient content, are usually dense in either fat or protein depending on species, and can be an extremely efficient food source. They only fell out of favor because a chicken found its way into every pot after we discovered we could plow an entire nation with corn using cheap oil and steel. Bugs will find their way back into everyone's diet after we realize that subsidizing Tyson and Monsanto to produce feed crops and CAFOs to ensure every Kroger and Piggly Wiggly in Tinyville, USA has stable meat and grain prices was a fundamentally bad idea and only helped incompetent leaders get elected.
I'm actually in the process of retrofitting a cheap box truck I got from a friend into a food truck and using it to sell novelty bug meals, using crickets to get started since you can make them very tasty with the right know-how due to their fat content and they're very cheap to farm.

Ya idk why more people arent doing it, its not even that prohibitively expensive. I even see postings for land with minable resources where you get the mining rights with the land selling for <$100k. Then you can just lease the rights to use that land out to mining companies if there's actually anything of value there.

Renting land to other people to use for their cattle is also really easy given your land is somewhat decent with a source of water and some bushy/forrested areas, since most farmers aren't limited by their budgets but rather by their land (you cant just dump an unlimited amount of cattle on a plot of land, they'll die).

It's not about the profitability is the fact that we can't provide the quality of life the West enjoys for the rest of the world.

If everyone in the world lived like American love we would need 5times the amount of energy we produce, would need to mine 5 times our current production rates of ores and minerals, would have to produce about 7 times the amount of meat we produce.

You get it.
As India and China continue developing and their countries get more uppitty we gotta find a way to provide protein for 10 billion niggers and cows are not gonna cut it. Cereals are already widely used, rice etc.
Bugs will replace meat and meat will be looked down upon, they're already pushing the rhetoric. Look at all the negative propaganda about meat production just in the last decade, while ignoring the damage large plantations also cause etc.

In short you will eat the bug. And Chinks and pajeets will make sure of it.

I'm not that bothered about eating bugs. What I don't want is the ever expanding push to have more people, more useless bodies, more consoomers, simply to prop up the boomer pension ponzi scheme and the lazy idealisation of economic growth via population growth. Higher density housing, smaller living spaces, increasingly mass produced food systems, more roads, higher density mass transport. More people squeezed and pressed into smaller spaces, worse food, lower privacy, less dignity, less freedom. Bugs are just another little turn of the gear as your quality of life is sapped away slowly but steadily, until your grandchildren find themselves looking at their own lives - sharing a bowl of bug paste slime with strangers in a small cramped cell - comparing them with those of our parents - who took walks in the woods, ate meat and owned their own houses - and wonder wtf happened?

> appeal to fucking tradition
You god damn faggot. Traditional doesn’t mean what our furry ancestors used to do back when mammals took over from dinosaurs. It’s not what our caveman ancestors did our our African tribal ancestors. It is what we used to do AFTER the introduction of civilization. We’re talking about /civilized/ tradition, you eminent fool. But it doesn’t even stop there. The greeks were the dawn of civilization and their gay debauchery was not traditional, in the modern sense of the word. Traditional means civilized and dignified, as in a practice that has stood the test of time, including passing our moral sieves for hundreds of years. It doesn’t mean any practice that was popular a long time ago, like Maya indians playing football with peoples’ heads.
> if it wasn’t because some random leftie once mentioned trannies, the right would be all about giving hormones to help kids transition. After all, the traditional ancient greeks were very gay.

It's not settled though. Professionals in healthcare and entertainment are shilling veg-only diets which literally no cultures practice throughout the course of ones life, and if they do it's a confirmed shithole. Broken mentalities like this "debate is settled" type of shit is reason Empiricism will collapse on itself, as rationalism did due to a similar breed of stupidity. Everything Sardinians eat, including their vegetable soups most days of the week that you think is so impressive and contain broth from pork bones and etc. Or a side of cheese with a salad, or an egg. I'm not saying that it's bad to eat vegetables or that a Steve Reeves offseason type of diet would be bad, but most of the time these people still eat whole foods that contain something from an animal daily.

Meat will get more expensive because it should be more expensive, it's currently subsidized by completely unsustainable practices. Veggies will stay cheap or you will have a new option of insect sourced protein, because they are fast growing and sustainable, which you can choose to eat or not.
