I waited for the new thread to finally ask the /pmg/ community for a big favor ;

I have to make a presentation about the lifecycle of a mine next week, I have studied it so no problem to understand it but I lack presentation materials, because I lost my old courses materials.

I would really appreciate if anyone could linke me some nice resources for a presentation, either infographic, cool photos, books, youtube videos...

I was planning on talking about : Exploration, production, end of life, the life cycle of a mine, how the machines works, how it is actually drilled. All of these stuff would be talked about in surface, because the students are non-technicians.
Peace !

History repeat itself, I dont believe they will nationalize everything, think about all the multi-millionnaire like Sprott who invested into miner; gov would be fucked right away. You can do that in Africa or other shithole, not really in the West without the country going balls deep in a shithole with everyone fleeing from it. I also have tons of physical, I dont care if I lose everything I've put in miner. If gold reach 15k and silver 300, I've 500k under my belt, that's fine with me.

Whether you have a central bank print paper money, or have the government do it directly, MMT and communism are just as evil.

For months now, every thread has had infiltrators from /pol/ virtue-signalling about Jews in every post, triple-bracketing every other word, promoting communist, neo-Nazi, Greenbacker rubbish like A History of Central Banking and the Enslavement of Mankind. ATH within the 6month with silver at 29. Considering where Silver is going, I dont mind being in the red a bit. Of course, for poorfag like us, if you can buy the dip like vangold right now (35%), then all good. I'm not very good with investing and timing honestly, I just buy 1k every month. Boss is my Mother in law, she runs a ranch (very poorly), I'm the only worker and Ranch Manager. I tell her things, my wife tells her things, we both suggest stuff to make the ranch profitable, she continues to deny them and insists "it'll take a few years to be profitable, maybe 5-8". This is year 2. She blows through money like you wouldn't believe. She inherited 1.5million USD, spent 600k on the land (a good value for large home and 80 acres in east texas), and the rest on who knows what. She gets in 150K USD yearly and pays me 48K of it. What the rest is used on? I have no fucking idea. I'm finishing up the first semester of my MS in chemistry, as I was grossly overqualified for entry level chem jobs and underqualified for the stuff they'd look at me for. (I did a lot of research and awards, etc.) I've filed for unemployment and looking for a part-time job, as I know she'll bitch and threaten to throw us off the property if I'm not putting in 40hrs a week.

Yeah. Golds strong dip last couple of weeks was a sign of a tightening liquidity crisis. Now they said they'd come out with 800 billion of spending, and Powell was giving a speech sometime this week again.

Now the question is whether this has been priced in, or is even enough to keep the markets happy. Expect that if the 800 billion isn't passed, or isn't passed quick, a huge crash in the markets. Also keep a eye out on any election news, as Normie fucks are convinced the election is over, so even a hint at a chance of a upset could cause them to panic.

Serious question, /pmg/
What, if anything, is stopping me from opening a side business where I "sell" bullion or jewelry, and then buying my PMs under that business entity. Wouldn't that grant me lots of flexibility to offset capital gains with company expenses (company car, etc), and capital losses if the PM price goes down? I could even use small business loans to buy more PMs, and if I ever go bust from being overleveraged, the business declaring bankruptcy wouldn't affect me personally.

Or the fact that the fed is directly financing corporation through bond purchases...
They have to believe in a mechanical economy where people don't make guesses as to what will happen next and they have to assume that the fed wont just change its own rules whenever it wants. They are half wit apologists. It's one thing to say that the fed will stop before the dollar fails, or that if we don't get more fiscal stimulus soon we have a crash, but thinking that if we have a crash, investors are going to bid 30 year US bonds to 0%? That's just legitimate retardation and economic illiteracy. 30 year debt obligations have never been money instruments (what people want in liquidity crunches). Sure, the 2 year could go to zero, but if the fed stops financing the government, the government will become insolvent before the fucking 30 year matures.

The only way you take this shit seriously is if you're a midwit that believes that "all sides to an issue deserve equal attention".

Deflation theorist here. QE derisks speculative (read: gambling) assets from productive investments. Printed money goes into, for example, markets and only slowly "trickles" down into the economy mostly because of common purchases of all social classes: real estate, education, health care, child care. Everyone buys lottery tickets instead of helping the economy. This creates further deflationary pressure which is why QE has never worked in the history of human civilization.
But I am still balls deep in metals (and other commodities) because printing money to POOMP only certain assets grows income inequality which destabilizes society. You want gold for whatever SHTF or edge of the abyss measures are undertaken to prevent SHTF scenarios.

You just refuted the deflationary argument yourself.

QE has not and can not be an effective means of fighting off deflation as it only finds its way to specific asset classes(mainly equities and real estate)

Much more direct financial stimulus (which IS coming soon) ie money printing and giving it direct to the consumer is what will be needed to combat the deflationary force of a retracting economy.

Anyone who thinks governments will sit on the sidelines and not fight deflation tooth and nail is an absolute fool.

Printed money has to go somewhere but it isn't actually turning the gears of the economy. Money velocity has been plummeting off a cliff and that has to do with the psychology of personal spending patterns of the population at large. You don't get the "inflation" if the printed money goes straight into something equivalent to savings. A share of TSLA purchased at a higher price doesn't mean anything if the seller uses it to buy shares of AAPL instead.
>Much more direct financial stimulus (which IS coming soon) ie money printing and giving it direct to the consumer is what will be needed to combat the deflationary force of a retracting economy.
Not so sure about that. It has always been easier to "print" with monetary policy instead of fiscal policy because of political exposure of the latter.
>Anyone who thinks governments will sit on the sidelines and not fight deflation tooth and nail is an absolute fool.
This is what digital dollars will "try to solve" and is my edge of the abyss strategy to prevent SHTF. Timed stimulus that "cannot be saved" going into people's bank accounts because the Fed just keeps losing against technology induced and QE induced deflation. It won't work but a cashless society will almost certain require nuking retail cryptocurrencies from orbit.

Ok guys, i have to ask because its been on my mind for a long time. Is buying copper worth ANYTHING AT ALL? i mean, some people here already see silver as a waste compared to silver, and copper is worth even less, right?

Yet, apparently copper is worth enough to rip off of the walls when you are moving out, so maybe there is some market for it.

Does anyone has experience with this, or think it may be worth a shot? Is it a precious metal?

A combination of things. Like you said, the price action is insane which makes adding more a no-brainer. Then there's QH and the fact that he believes this to be a rare alkaline deposit, with possibly over 10-20Moz Au. Then they've got generous funding, they've got working capital for three to four years. Finally, they're going to start drilling underground in January with two brand new UG rigs while still drilling on the surface too. They also have their own lab and are able to begin production in two years at the earliest. Add to this that there is an old mine that's cheaper to ramp up to production as well as the greenfield exploration upside near the mine and you've got just about the most convincing play since NFG in my opinion. What's not to like?

>why not post it with a timestamp so you can’t be slandered as a pedophile?
pedos and felons can't work in mining. Or for the government.

>a stockpile like that alone would be worth a fortune to the property
makes me wonder if they're counting high grade waste? What's the story on the stockpile?

Yeah 10y is about right. The previous owner was stuck in debt and the project wasn't going anywhere, I assume they couldn't secure financing. Bought recently with one of the company board member's money, the guy had some big pockets and lent Braveheart $6M to buy Bull River.
The project does seem to have most of the infrastructure in place though. Looking at the mine site from the drone images, it looks like it could be put into production fairly quickly. And even if it takes some time to get the mine to start operating, the stockpile is there, it can just be shipped right away once they get the permits and a buyer. The resources seem to pale in comparison to the stockpile but aren't bad. No FS done and not even a PEA though.

no clue they dont have a lot of info on their site it seems, I may have to dig up the original property file on Minfile and see what was going on. I am betting it had something to do with lower metal prices so the company stockpiled lower grade ore and focused only on the stuff that would pay bills better.

yeah, that makes sense

It looks like their pit has water in the bottom, did they go below the water table with their UG workings?

Equities are ownership of a company and we anticipate the value of certain mining companies will increase exponentially therefore we have purchased these equities with the plan of selling them for profit

heck even if they cant get the mill operating right away they could ship the stock pile to any number of major mines in BC for processing. Mount Milligan Copper would buy that ore in a heart beat i am sure.

would getting Surge at around .41 be bad or does it look like it has a lot of room to go up?

>glacial retreat

I imagine glacial retreat and warmer climate is a huge tailwind to resource companies up north right? Never thought about it this way but it's intriguing, and it's likely not priced in yet.

I know their people well and they all think the projects got room to grow, they have a bunch of other targets between their Ootsa and Ox prospects to look over as well. There could be two pits worth of copper there, almost the rightful inheritor of the Huckleberry mines regional throne. The only thing I could see going wrong there is the ore grade being patchy, its many small copper deposits instead of one or two large ones.

guessing the transportation would cost as much as getting the mill online. Maybe more.

Pebble was a fuck up of a project, too massive and in an extremely sensitive area. Most of the projects in the Golden Triangle are fairly safe from an environmental standpoint as the rivers below them dont have salmon runs, there brown all year. I wouldnt be pointing these projects out if they were environmentally never going to work.
