Bought LINK in 2017/2018, $4k. Now worth $200k. Pretty much all the early link buyers are in the same boat. We just don’t post much because the board has been flooded with newfags.

In 2017/2018/2019 I really thought having 6 figures in crypto was already made it status, but now I’m shocked and disgusted at all the nolinkers who had literally 3 years.

Yeah, I can’t even get excited about it. I lost like 100k during the coronavirus crash. The value of my linkies swings around $20k per day. Sometimes $5k every few minutes (like now while it’s so volatile).

I think even “making it” with $1mil won’t be enough because that would still need to be reinvested to retire early. Do you would still be managing a portfolio or running a business. You’d need probably $10million+ to never worry about money again. Thankfully LINK is going to $1000 so I’m looking forward to that.

100% what I'm going to do

What has the US done for me?

Provided my education (for a fee) and a software engineering job that I used to get my initial portfolio.

Do I have great public transportation? No.

Do I have a great dating market filled with slim women? No.

Do I have a ton of well to do chads and ex-cons who don't even need to work? Yes

Do I have great healthcare? I guess yes, but only because I work for a tech company. Even then, I haven't really needed it.

Do I receive ANY sort of neetbux or other aid? No

Did I receive any extra assistance for college? No, because I'm a white male and obviously don't need it (family were dumbass consoomers and I basically grew up mid-high income poor).

Do I have a ton of homeless people running stolen bike part shops in the middle of the city? Yes (and with my wheels too lmao)

Am I charged $1800/month for a 1bd under 700sqft? Yes

Add to the list anons. what is the US doing for you lately?

Pretty big assumption, seeing as 5 million invested would be $150k/year with a 3% safe withdrawal rate, ya? And you don't have to save any of the $150k, aside from paying tax.

I wouldn't just take $5 million and hold it in cash, that's for sure.

As for the "richfag" lifestyle, it's basically up to the individual whether the extra work/hustle is worth the extra trinkets. For me, I can be very content working on free or income producing tasks.

e.g. making music vs attending it.

making games vs buying and playing them

training a martial art (low $/hour)

home archery range

Sex with QTs, etc

Definitely that SEA region, but I actually vibe better in Vietnam and it is noticably more affordable than Thailand (which is itself still affordable compared to US cities).

Vietnamese people are really entrepreneurial (including the women), the mountain passes are EPIC to ride by motorcycle, the food is still good and healthy, and it seems far easier in terms of visa situations.

Thai food is better and the pay to play scene is also more robust, but Vietnam will likely be my home base.

That's awesome, my dude. Keep it up and I hope you reach all of your goals this run.

Being a builder/producer/tinkerer vs a consumer is really the key. Consuming content or entertainment will always be paying a premium to someone from the former class

I choose a few select things to get into in terms of hobbies and then go deep. e.g. I want a nice motorcycle, because I ride almost every day.

I don't pay my gym fee to use it 4x a month. I go 5-7x per week.

Where people get into trouble is getting bored with all of their toys and activities; having no focus. Boat they use 3x a year, truck that gets used every 4th day, a drumset they still can't do a basic fill on, "collections" of trinkets that sit in boxes (congrats to those with a goldmine in trading cards tho), etc

You can still accumulate, even 1000 Link is better than nothing.
Also, Linkpool staking. I’ve already made 10 link from my Linkpool.

Your attitude kinda sucks. When I found out and link and went fully stinky researching all the crumbs and posting, debating and reading about link every day, I realised it was the golden ticket and I sold so many of my possessions to get cash to buy more. If you have a job, you need to cut down to rice and beans and put every penny outside of rent and basic food into Link. You don’t need Netflix, you don’t need entertainment. You have warosu to read old link threads and lots of time to sell everything you own on eBay. Even newlinkers can be based and will make it if they work hard enough, which is a function of understanding of link. If you aren’t fully indoctrinated, you’ll think “wow I’m up x10, gonna sell and enjoy the cash!” Or “oh no it dumped, guess it was a scam after all”, only OGs (and a few based latefags) who have poured over all the threads for the last 3 years understand enough to hold til $1000.

I was relatively late to the party and don't have as big of a stack as anons that got in at the same time as me, but I still got in a year and a half ago and have done nothing but read the archives and actively seek breadcrumbs. I have sell points, but it's more centered around selling 1% to attempt to recoup my initial investment than to cash out. There are also points where I'd consider selling a little bit to take profit/set aside to buy back in after the bull is over, but the sell points are retardedly high. Swingers get the rope isn't a meme and I believe in Chainlink long term so whether I wait another 10 months after waiting almost two years or I wait 10 more years it doesn't matter to me because I treat that money like it doesn't exist and go on with my life

To elaborate on the meme aspect, like you said. An index fund to me doesn't make sense until I can put $2m into it. Anywhere from $80k-160k secured per year makes it worth it. But if I can outperform those returns just by holding onto chuck e cheese tokens for a couple years I'm going to go with the better albeit it inherently riskier option because I'm in my early 20s and potentially having to start over at my age is much different than if I were 40. If I were 40 I would most definitely be more risk adverse. But the idea of high risk high reward to hit the 1% by age 30 sounds like a once in a lifetime chance that I'd kick myself later on for not at least attempting. I'm already in the 1% for my age group by having a net worth over $100k and more than $10k in fiat as my peers supposedly on average have something like $1k in their bank account at any given time. I drive a 30 year old car and have no debt and don't give a fuck about posting a leased bmw on Instagram to get validation from retards I went to high school with like everyone else my age
