>labeling the image as "bitcoin.png"

Bitcoin's logo rotates the "B" the other direction. BCash, aka "Bitcoin Cash", the ripoff Chinese shitcoin, reversed the rotation and usually-but-not-always changes the color to green. They tried really hard to confuse everyone to shill their own forked shitcoin.

OP, if you're really dumb enough to buy BCH, any amount you buy will be your suicide stack, because you're gonna kill yourself when it continues to die its slow death.

Buy Bitcoin -- BTC -- the one with that version of its logo angled up-and-right -- and you can probably retire on 10 to 21. See picrelated for the correctly rotated version of the Bitcoin logo.

Seriously? BTC is the standard. LTC was created as an ASIC-resistant mining coin to keep mining decentralized, but that failed and there are now ASIC miners for it; the project as a whole is dead and there is little to no ongoing work happening to improve it. ETH has use cases but is centralized, has unlimited issuance, and is being run by a guy who treats it as his personal toy project. XRP was created and is centrally controlled by banks as a platform for their own tests. Tether is a stablecoin and may or may not be fully backed. LINK may or may not have use cases.

EVERYTHING ELSE IS A SCAM. Especially every shitcoin that gets shilled here.

If you actually want to "invest", BTC is the most reliable. LTC got a good bump from PayPal deciding to allow it. ETH and LINK may or may not have use cases in the long term. Anything else is simply gambling on shiling pump-and-dump scams to the stupid people out there.

That and also Roger Ver, who used to call himself "Bitcoin Jesus" and whom everyone else now calls "Bitcoin Judas", used his "bitcoin.com" domain to try to push everyone to BCH. People used to go to the .com site and think they were buying Bitcoin and then finding out they got screwed with BCH.

It's a damn good thing for him that he renounced his U.S. citizenship and lives on some Caribbean island or else he'd be in prison for fraud by now. I'm seriously surprised that he's still alive.

There are a lot of other ways that the BCH scumbags tried to destroy Bitcoin. Practically the entire altcoin scam industry owes its existence to their constant FUD campaign that they created to try to destroy Bitcoin.

Once it gets into the high five digits and six digits, though, it becomes the province of millionaires, who really are the 1%. You're right that the majority of people can't afford one now though. The majority of the population doesn't live in America though. There are billions of people in Asia and Africa that have nothing.

To be in the top 10% worldwide you need $93k net worth (https://www.cnbc.com/2018/11/07/how-much-money-you-need-to-be-in-the-richest-10-percent-worldwide.html)) but that includes all assets like houses and stocks, not just cash. I doubt people with $93k net worth are going to sell their house to spend $20k on bitcoin. I mean, theoretically they could, so it's still technically within reach for them, but not realistically.

You might be right that it's not true that 95% can't afford it yet, I couldn't find any stats about how much wealth the top 5% has globally but I guess it's quite a bit more than $93k. But if the top 10% of the world has $93k NW, then 90% of the world's population can't afford 1 BTC imo, at least not without selling their house which I don't see anyone doing.

I didn't have nearly enough vision. I didn't expect that Venezuelans and Lebanese would be buying it to preserve their savings from their own governments. I didn't expect that the government of Iran would embrace it as a way to bypass American sanctions. I didn't expect that Biden would be elected to preside over the destruction of the U.S. economy. I won't be surprised to see $600K by the end of the decade. Even with the reduced purchasing power of a devalued U.S. dollar, it will still be $200K in today's money.

Bros I’m a little depressed. I unironically have been following Bitcoin news religiously since about September of 2017, but I have always been a poorfag. I was in college during most of this and had absolutely no expendable income. I just recently got a job stable enough to start buying BTC periodically, but I still have bills to pay, so the amount I can contribute is meager atm. Not only that, since we are reaching ATH again I think we will rocket like a muhfucka once it’s broken. My opportunity to secure cheap corns are disappearing and it’s a little bittersweet. I knew this was going to happen but I thought I had a little more time. It’s nice feeling vindicated in your convictions, but it feels like I’m being left out. Anyways, thanks for reading my diary. I genuinely hope everyone ITT makes it. BTC is cool as fuck and subverts those dirty central banks in such a beautiful way that it gives me massive hope for the future.
