Ones the industry standard, the other is a charity for Ripple Labs. The other has had thousands of commits and development in the past week, the other had a grand total of 7 commits and 0 in the preceding weeks. One is selected by other nation states, the other has been rejected because its software developed by Ripple Labs is too costly, etc.
